At first, it was rather vigorously with rude words and a lack of care of how the other person in front of me saw me. So long as I said what I said, I didn't care if they understood it or not. Alhamdu li ALLAH, I've long since moved away from the aggressive behavior. I've seen Brother Mohammed speak way more eloquently than this video right here. Such knee jerk reactions from an eloquent and influential Muslim can cause a lot of damage; on one hand it would encourage other muslims to follow suit in the wrong direction, and on the other, it would reinforce the ignorant and the arrogant element across society. Firstly, if someone is potentially mentally unwell, which is possibly the case with Mr. Musk who is a high functioning autistic and you need to know how it impacts people in general let alone when someone on the autistic spectrum might be getting within the boundaries of a major mental illness such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, you need to be kind, and secondly try and respond in an empathetic and knowledgeable manner in order to challenge the stereotypes and correct the misconceptions of others. Both Trump and Musk are high functioning autistics or Asperger’s and that’s not an illness as such. It’s just a different way of brain being wired. At least 1 in 50 people in the US are on the spectrum and that number is not even correct. I think 1 in 5-10 people in the US would be on the spectrum. If one is on the spectrum one can become either Hitler or Einstein. Ironically even Einstein inadvertently ended up giving others one of the most lethal weapons of human history. Mr. Musk is either going through a phase of excitement and it is a bit weird because the expression of excitement of an autistic person would look weird to the neurotypical people, or he has crossed the threshold of a manic episode, only the time will tell. Looks like the world is going to be at the mercy of two high functioning, extremely rich, and highly powerful individuals. They have the potential of pulling it out of poverty and violence or push it into a pit of fire and destruction. Our job as Muslims should be to stick with our principles, values, and ikhlaq in dealing with the challenges and continuing to educate others about our Deen that they despise out of ignorance.
