When Elon says it is just around the corner, then 5 years is the norm, double the price, half the performance. Why don't we know the drag coefficient of the Cybertruck? Is Elon not the best in everything? 90% of the truck buyers want a truck that is affordable, that is reliable, cheap to maintain, robust, that lasts a long time and is suitable with whatever transportation problem occurs. The fewest people need a 2.9 sec acceleration for their truck, when then they have to limp home with 45 mph to make it there. As far as I remember, the last revolutio in battery technology that Elon announced was not more than a bigger cell. No new technology, just bigger dimensions. And surprise, surprise, bigger, heavier cells have more capacity. A TRUE revolution would be half the weight at double the capacity.
