Obviously Prosperity is going to be dependent on how we value humans in our economy because eventually we have a inevitability of automation lowering human value to near zero which means people will have no money to spend in the consumer Market to buy any Goods which will make it so the corporations struggle to provide and therefore everyone has a hard time in the economy because now there's no jobs for anyone to make any money therefore the consumer Market falls apart slowly as we see happening before our eyes.

Elon got it backwards. The Earth was the second supercomputer. Deep Thought was the first supercomputer than came up with the answer to life, the universe, and everything. The Earth was the bigger longer running supercomputer to find the question to that simpler answer. But I'll give him a pass. He has a lot of things on his mind.

It's probably true that if science is explored to its furthest reaches, we'll find that religion and science are actually mutually agreeable. Just that our current understanding of science can't encompass religion. Not to replace it, but to compliment it. Meaning neither will be undermined by the other.

Huh! Not much evidence of Musk seeking truth in his tweets about the UK this last week. By supporting Trump and trying to undermine the Democrats (who he sees as Communist) he displays zero concern for the less priviliged in humanity or the environment. He knows so little about the UK he probably sees the Labour Party as Communist too and that's why he deliberately set out to shitstir to try to destablize Keir Starmer's first month in office. Not smart, not intelligent, not spiritual just abusing his status. He'd be far better off giving his brain a break and looking into his own heart.

I cannot imagine the amassed knowledge of either of these two people. I am very impressed by both of them. I have been following Dr. Peterson for years, watching his videos, reading his books, etc. In this interview, it appears that he is so enthusiastic because he is thinking, "finally...someone I can talk to, who does not only understand but offer insights on the same plane." He is obviously taking advantage of the time they have (and enjoying it). I become more impressed with Elon Musk the more I learn about him. He also has a lot to offer one who listens. He understands the masses and will succeed, despite them. But he still wants to bring them along (teach, share knowledge).

yeah, ur right! It's a great team, both masters in many very interesting areas.. Elon is extremly wrongly positioned in ppls heads (through media and general jealousy spreading through media / gossip) - the majority of ppl are "followers" and try to simplify life in illogical ways (emotionally driven and anchored), which is a part of the beautiful and diverse human character given to us to strife for a long lasting human race. I was wondering just now, how Elon got to such a negativ emotional place in peoples head... i talk a lot with people about it and in short when i ask them about what they think of elon the majority answers something negative like "he should have", "not a fan of electric", "i dont trust him", "too much power" (altough not even knowing that he has more than tesla, which is a funny fact :D if they knew or got to know reality now!! :D). Im surprised since i know quite a lot about him and cant see where those negative emotions really come from to such degree... he might be litterly the person that saves our world from future meteors etc.!! - for those who think negativelly of him: "yes, he might save all animals on this planet including all your neighbors dogs and puppies :D!" See ya, hope u get your todays laugh from my comment

As a young teen, I went through an existential crisis after reading Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness and delving into Nihilist philosophy. I realised that I had two choices: either spend my time searching for meaning or risk feeling lost. This experience sparked my deep interest in many subjects, driven by a mix of curiosity and impatience to find answers to the many questions I have yet to explore. Having these types of discussions is valuable because they encourage others to seek deeper meaning and cultivate a sense of gratitude.

"The more prosperous a society becomes, the more hedonistic it becomes" Thats so profound and true, it happened to all great civilizations in history. The more life becomes comfortable, we seek more extreme ways to stimulate ourselves mentally and physically. And its always dimininishing returns, like a drug. We take it further to the next extreme for that dopamine hit. Then it reaches a critical point, and the entire structure collapses. Kinda reminds me of happened to the Aeldari in Warhammer 40k. I think our own society is reaching the end of that cycle, we have become more hedonistic than ever before.

I basically like and respect Jordan Peterson; he is obviously of high intelligence and is often profoundly insightful. With that said, he also demonstrates many traits of hypomania and narcissism. For example, not every element of reality or the dynamics of human interaction needs to be expressed with extreme fervor and passion at all times. Additionally, whenever I watch him speak, I get the sense that he is so inside his own head and lost in his own internal maze of distractions that anyone on the outside who he is speaking to is relegated to a tertiary level source of data. Needless to say, this results in a tremendous opportunity loss when interviewing a man like Elon Musk, who is unquestionably one of the greatest geniuses of our time.

Yes, he also hires and works with brilliant engineers, but he is always first among them. Seriously, whatever you might personally think of Elon Musk, he is unquestionably a genius.

@jamesbyrne9312 What a patently absurd thing to say! First of all, EVERY scientist and engineer "piggy-backs off the ideas of others" (whatever the hell that really means). And, as far as being a genius or not, the real essence of genius is to take that which has already been and to bring it to the next level through extraordinary innovation. Anyone who believes that Elon Musk is just a showman and has somehow failed to do that is either profoundly ignorant or delusionally biased.

The Bibleproject has a really great interpretation of turn the other cheek, it’s not about not retaliating as much as it’s about taking a step of demanding respect. Slapping on the right cheek in a right dominant society would mean when mean they would have to slap you with a open hand and facing you. Where slapping on the left cheek would been that that person would have back slapped you and would have crossed his body as if you hold a lower position. What Tim Mackey expressed was this was actually demand respect from someone who slapped you not necessary turning the other cheek. It was more of if you are going to go against me, look at me face to face and show me the respect of being your equal. The idea is that once you see that persons face that the respect you show to that person would end in a violent altercation.

This is one of my favorite interviews of Elon. I know Jordan Peterson was very interested in having this conversation with Elon, as I have heard him speak of it.. I am a fan of both of these men for different reasons. Jordan did a lot of talking, but I don't think Elon minded. Elon got a chance to talk freely about some subjects that he isn't usually steered towards. I don't think Elon rehearses his answers, but after you have been asked the same thing over and over and over again, it is probably pretty cookie. cutter. The bellwether of population decline in civilizations might draw our attention to South Korea's birth rate drop. Despite seeming prosperity, young adults can't afford homes to raise families. Also, the gender divide is an issue. I doubt any of these previous civilizations that suffered population declines had women in the workforce. There are different drivers in our modern civilization than in the past. Ultimately, even if we get this part right we are still getting it wrong in terms of the questions we're asking. Expansion of consciousness is not about more brains. It's about the realization that the brain is not the seat of consciousness. Elon should have kept reading after Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, he didn't mention the Vedas, Upanishads, or any of the Eastern religious traditions in his inquiry.

First, I must say that I truly love and have such deep respect both Peterson and Musk. Listening to them is refreshment to the spirit. Their genuineness and honesty allows listeners to take needed deep breaths. :-) And it is because of their genuineness and honesty that they are able to operate at the levels that they do. That said, there seems to be an element that is missing here. ...vanity of vanities; all is vanity. Yes, root out evil, search for meaning, design, orchestrate, reach, understand, etc. But it was not until I had a child that I entered into the world; that I understood. The love of a parent to a child is everything worth knowing or being. (And it is not a requirement that it must be your own child. Parenthood over innocence.) I suspect both would agree. I hope so anyway. Not to sound trite, but love is truly the answer. :-) None of these fun things to think or do is worth a moment's attention without love. In fact, to do so without love IS evil. Intent is not required. Love is the root, LCD, building block, and highest rung. Not love the feeling, love the action, love the entity. Love, is the "meaning of life". I pray for both Peterson and Musk. For their health and safety - so that we may keep them as long as possible. :-) For their continuing enlightenment and curiosity. For their protection from those who would come against them. For the success of their endeavors. And for their paths to be directed, as for us all, to the Creator Jesus Christ. So much love to you all and to all our fellow seekers. Seekers ... find. It is one thing to know. Knowing and being known is prize.

To the point, why do birth rates fall when societies are "successful"? Because, the heart is wicked above all things. Successful human societies are successfully ego centric and successfully wicked. Children are innocent, innocence has always been the sacrifice. Such is the ebb and flow of mankind. All the old testament is a repeat of the fall of man and God's love and patience for us. We rise, we fall. We embody evil, we repent. It will be this way until all has been said and all has been done. Each generation is simply the reply to one more rebuttal.

I went through an existential crisis when I was 5 because my classmates in 1st grade asked me why my dad was so old (he was 58 at the time). After school one day, I visually compared their dads to mine and they were right. Then these group of 1st graders from my class told me that people don’t live forever so my dad will only be alive for a few more years. I was very sad, but at the same time I was curious and intrigued by life, living, the world, the universe, and basically everything and everyone around me. I began to ask my dad lots of questions about life, our purpose in life, and to be honest I was also intentionally asking questions as an excuse to spend as much time with him as I could because I believed my classmates when they said I was going to lose him very soon. That’s when I learned about my dad’s past: he was a Buddhist monk for 20 years, survived the Cambodian genocide, found Christ while at a refugee camp, and persevered in an unfamiliar country as he had to build his life again from scratch. Long story short, my classmates were wrong - my dad lived for another 31 years and passed away at 89. I’m glad he was able to live long enough to raise me with the foundation of Christian beliefs/principles but also with the wisdom of Buddhism philosophy and more. On to another statement made in this interview regarding the rise and fall of civilizations, it made me wonder whether this was the case for the fall of the Khmer Angkor civilization. 🤔

Of course, I partially understand Spinoza, but God is not exactly nature, but nature is a sample of what God did and of all its plenitude, in it we feel peace, grace, air of life, because it is a perfect work, just like the work of someone who does something with affection and value. I know this interview was heavily edited and the full interview is probably better. However, in this edited version I counted 12 times when Peterson asked Musk an important question and then instead of waiting for the answer, Peterson went on to talk about something relevant while forgetting to return to the question and let Elon answer. In response to Musk's statement that he was beaten to within an inch of his life, at the 14:00 mark, Peterson asks Musk, "So why aren't you bitter about that?" Musk tries to answer but Jordan begins talking about the Book of Job from the Bible. Peterson needs to begin supplementing his play book of talking points, example, analogies and metaphors with some new material. He often too quickly draws parallels between deeply personal experiences a person is expressing and Biblical stories. Yes these Biblical stories may in fact be THE MOST relevant in Peterson's mind, they are most definitely NOT the most appropriate given the deeply personal nature of what people tell him. I sometimes feel like Peterson thinks of humans in the same clinical/lab way that he thinks about rats or mice (or lobsters : ). Peterson is incredibly intelligent, no doubt, but there seems to be some lack of humanness about him - some inability to move his heart and thus his mind toward LOVE. He exhibits great compassion which a man cannot do sincerely unless he cares deeply for other humans, but for me, he too often speaks clinically when the person he's talking with (and his viewers) might just be hungrier than he knows for words that immediately indicate gentleness and true LOVE. But alas . . . like each of us . . . I doubt if God is finished with him. A work in progress.

God finished with him? What a sad concept, such a manipulative idea. Why not Peterson doing his own finishing?

Listen to the very end of the video. Notice Elon said he believes in the PRINCIPLES of Christianity. I took that to mean living by the 10 commandments as a guide type of thing. NOT that he believes in heaven\hell.

@@Skyking6976 Not yet maybe, it's only an introduction after all, but he will, simply because he's smart enough to recognise & acknowledge the real truth when he realises it. :) Peace.
