I’m excited for the impact Teslabot will have on Tesla solar roofing. Expensive skilled labor is a huge driver in the cost of the solar roof. A $30,000 solar roof before incentives, would be a huge boon to renewable energy. Probably every new roof would be solar.

Accessing Grok does not have to be onboard the robot. Most Grok functions could be handled on a local wifi node with more unusual functions accessing a passing Starlink. Thanks for the video!

Military already has many machines robots soldiers, It will be up to Tesla for what use Optimus is, the benefits of Optimus is global abundance, starlink is already a very good example of this given the poorest countries in the world the greatest benefit , Optimus can be shared amongst communities and countries with incredible diversity and stumping out some of the most corrupt , it’s kind of like giving every child in the world a free lap top only better

Optimus is small and slow. Might be applications in future but not a priority now.

I disagree on trying to assess cost on Optimus versus a Tesla based on weight. The level of complexity is higher with much tighter tolerances all because there is so little space to work with.

Dojo is not produced in sufficient volume and not yet good enough.

I disagree, Optimus bot can be useful for restaurant to clean up, prepare means , do kitchen prep work. even in Thailand or Japan.

I'm not saying it can't be useful. What I'm saying is if you make a bot that can do useful work, you deploy it in a place where the wage rate is $20/hour, not a place where it's $2/hour

@@WarrenRedlich the ageing vehicle sales trend (in comparison with BYD et al) with little actually delivered to back up the hyped up stock valuation. Elon said that without level 5 autonomy DELIVERED....TSLA was worthless and you should sell. That Fortune Magazine poll of US CEOs made sense.

Not sure what experience you have with Chinese EVs. They are better than ICE vehicles but here in Asia consumers think Tesla makes better cars. And it's not close.

@@WarrenRedlich used to be, but heavy discounting and subsidised loans are the current prop for the ageing car lineup of one and a bit. As a 4 year owner of Tesla model 3 RWD Fremont and Shanghai, we now have a better built, German engineered Chinese manufactured BYD Seal Premium RWD.......and it's beautifully cluttered with STALKS and buttons with HUD . A quieter, cooler (silver plated panaroof) car with longer range. BYD alone has many more model choices without even considering the others like Xpeng, Nio, Zekr, Chery, SAIC/MG etc. Elon said it's only about FSD being delivered that underpins TSLA price value.

Seal is here in Thailand. It is less expensive than Model 3, but Model 3 is far more highly desired and I'm pretty sure it sells better. Seal has a max charge rate of 150 kW vs 250 kW for Model 3. Tesla has better software. Teslas are better built. Not just my opinion. Thai opinion. Chinese opinion.

21:33 Depending on details of the tech I don’t have and may not be able to fully follow even if I had the details, Optimus and its ilk may have a greater weakness to the increased solar and cosmic radiation on the surface of mars. I’m hoping that this won’t be so, but we’ll see in four or six years when Optimus gets to Mars.

@@singed8853 there are two robots in pretty much all Star Wars movies. One was 3CPO and the other was R2D2. The former was a humanoid shaped robot and the later looked like a waste basket. They were there for comic relief.

40K was probably a pre-split projection. In my view stock is not likely to rise a lot until robotaxi rides get under way or optimus starts doing significant work.
