I am a Indian "hindu", to be honest, I feel that I believe in every religion and at the same time no religion (orthodox parts), but I will not call myself an atheist. I am searching for this "singularity", which one feels is always around, and somewhat beyond our materialistic living. It was great hear the Islamic version of it, I want to listen more.. I like his translation of the Al-Fatiha. He has studied Imam Warithudeen Mohammed, because he used his interpretation, but changed it a little. Imam Mohammed first called Ar-Raheem redeemer, only he said merciful Redeemer. He also said rubil Ailameen was the creator of all systems of knowledge, this brother used the concepts. It is amazing how many great scholars have existed all over the world, this brother he’s talking about from Senegal sounds amazing, May ALLAH most high reward him. But we as a parole are the only people that will prop up others, other than our own African American scholars like Imam warithudeen Mohammed. I wonder why? We never see Senegalese sheikhs acknowledging other scholars from other ethnicities, why do we? Imam warithudeen Mohammed addressed that Ill in us a a people. Ghost of the plantation.

the world "religion" in Islam means way of life. The Islamic way of life is to submit oneself to the One who created everything. relying on yourself to reach spiritual heights is not effective, the human being is a creation and needs help physically by relying on the proper foods, exercise, etc.. needs help mentally by practicing mindfulness, meditiation, etc... and needs help spiritually by connecting the soul to its Creator. u cannot rely completely on yourself, you need Divine intervention and that happens by submitting to His will

@@thesiblings1664 yes u cant reject yourself and the soul is real, i cannot reject that i did not create myself and niether did you. but we still exist, meaning we are the creation of the Creator who gave us the soul. since the Creator gave us our souls we take care of our souls by connecting to the Creator which is God. which is why when people give there soul to the illusion of the world it makes them depressed because nothing can give you peace except by connecting the One who created Peace and gives. in Islam we believe every human naturally believes in God, and that all the Prophets taught the same message, which is to act on that natural feeling and submit to the One who gave it to you.
