This was great insight to the early years of his drumming and what separated him to now be chosen to play with Slipknot! Every time I see negative comments about Eloy, or comparisons, I just ask them to go back to this video and just watch it. He would bag 90% of drummers nowadays with 14 years. If you still have any doubts listen to Quadra. He is a product of one of the most technical drummers in Brasil, Aquiles Priester. If you watch him playing you see where Eloy comes from. Eloy is a beast, a fucking machine! Side note: By the way that move on 6:35 was also popularized by Aquiles. You can see that on his DVD Inside my drums back in 2004. I think everything is on YT nowadays, look for "Running Alone", that's the song and where it came from.
