I'm brazilian and the first time I saw Eloy Casagrande live was coincidentally the same day I saw Slipknot live for the first time too. It was at 2011 Rock in Rio. Casagrande playing drums for his old band Gloria and Slipknot at the second to last show of the day. Now I have to meet these guys again! And I hope they come to Brazil soon!

i watched eloy’s drum solo when he was 14 years old today, ya he’s a beast, im a former bm/death metal drummer and am 57 years old, never could get into these guys for some reason, BUT!!, after watching this performance well im definitely impressed!! great musicians for sure and the drumming power and timing for sure on point, definitely be keeping an eye on these guys in the future 🤘🤘🤘

Alot of comments saying Jay’s timing was too fast and Eloy brought it back properly. I know nothing about technical side of music but I’ve never noticed that. Is this true of is this just placebo?

Hard to say….Every drummer (like every musician) plays a certain way in regard to the timing (beats per minute, metronome, etc.) Eloy seems to play slightly behind the beat (not off time) but laying in the pocket perfectly where it feels good. Jay may have played on top or in front of the beat slightly. (Not sure but I’m assuming this is what they mean) Neither is wrong or right but they “feel” different to the listener and the musicians they are playing with! Great question!
