This "music" resets my whole body. When I'm stressed at work, this loosens my shoulders like nothing else. Simply amazing

Just Googled Eliane and she's still alive at 87 and is composing currently for acoustic instruments. This btw is fantastic music for either listening intently or working. Played her stuff all day at work and it was excellent.

she really nailed it with her description of how listening to this is like watching a rippling sunlit river. there are different parts to focus on, or be aware of the whole thing and get swept away

it is cool.. sounds to me like after all of the songs have been played-out and the old men are taking a nap while a baby is stuck inside a TV signal, or an escalator or between 2 studs in a wall where nobody thought to hang out.
If it's not Drone, then what is it? What would you consider to be Drone?
@_Ramen-Vac_6 жыл бұрын
it is what it is. and it's droning. .. I think it is sort-of maybe a cure for agoraphobia -as it sounds like being safe inside a dead escalator, hearing the ghosts of its working sounds. Too long for a sub~genre designation? too bad. -well not to *drone on and on* about it... g'bye now.

This music is just what I need, and I didn't know it : I came across it by pure algo-chance and discovered it suits to a T to my recording techniques : slow it to 0.25 speed and mix it with some other Eno's New Space Music on two separate channels : one at 0.50 and the other at 0.25 speed, then bring Loscil in, all this at floating volumes, because I have to avoid sync lag problems... so I have four/five separate youtube windows open for a start, and this makes for a first track, so this is only the beginning with the possibilities of multitracking after that...

It follows Eno's Discreet Music theory and the result is just amazing. Those new composers have nothing to do with musak or otherwise "new age musics"... this is a totally different horizon, like a kind of phenomenology applied to music and how we live with it every time we listen to it...

This is so beautiful and it's kinda weird to me cause I don't really listen to a lot of what u'd call experimental music, but I sat there listening for 3 hours enjoying the fuck out of it the experience is different and amazing, guess this is drone music as I understand drone but other drone music doesn't do it for me like this does, what would you categorise this ? tho I know it's stupid sometimes to categorise things but I wanna find similar stuff if possible..

It's not even an original logo. The album design is as much a piece of art as the music, so I don't like his logo on it any more than if he had put his voice saying "You're listening to the Yellow Submarine channel" all over the recording. I wouldn't care if he put his logo off to the side in the black space, but not on the album cover itself.

"Too slow"?...for what? Is there somewhere you have to be? My advice is to sit still and listen carefully. There is a lot more going on than you may think. The changes are happening constantly, though you may not be aware of it.
