This is my favorite song of his. It's just one of those feel good songs that makes you smile through the whole thing. I'm a little embarrassed to admit... I'm low key attracted to Elton in this video 😅

I'm just recently getting into Elton John (thanks, Rocketman), and seeing this video for the first time, I know it's an instant favorite. Elton is so damn adorable dancing and smiling in that cute outfit to this great, happy song.

Here's a song by Elton that hardly anyone knows about, from his 1979 project "The Thom Bell Sessions". This song gives me goosebumps. Impossible for me to play it without smiling. This has got to be one of Elton's most under-rated songs. I love the production and the sound of these three singles (Momma Can't Buy You Love, Three-Way Love Affair) and I wish he had done more like this. Amazing! Never seen this video footage either. I love the 70's!

llschnitz I Know- Right ..!!? And Wow!, My Goodness!, I Just Came Across A Comment Of mine from 3 Yr.'s Ago -lol! (: Whewww!, I Mean, I Knew & Still Know How long I've Been A Huge Fan Of this Amazing Man, Mr. Elton John, But Just likeeeee-, Just Seeing That Kind Of Stuff Though, Is Good Feels- Ya Know...? Just thinking Likee, Wow!, At That Time, On That Date, I Was Watching *THIS* Video, & Even Tho I Already Know How Much I Appreciate this Genius, It's Just Another Lovely Reminder to Self About How Much Of A True-Loyal Fan I Am, (That 'We' Are That Is; Myself, My Daughter Jade, & All Of Us Here who's Ever Commented On This Vid Especially,& Or Any Elton Treasure😉)-, It's Amazing That 3 Yr.'s Ago I Was Talking/Commenting On This *Same* Exact Video, About My Daughter, Jade & How Much she Loved (Still VERY Faithfully-Loyal Too!, Even At her Such VERY Young Age, she Knows The Diff Between Good, Bad, & Then This Magic, Which Is *BEYOND GREAT* Music) And Always Will Love This Man. 😃My Daughter, Is Just like meeee, her Mama, (Obviously, Of Course-lol), But Goodness-Gracious, I Was Also Writing On here 3 Yr.'s Ago, On How (My Daughter I'ma Talk About Again, be here [As she Is My Every Thing, My #1, So Makes Very Easy to talk So much Of & About My Princess, Of Course!, & Also the Huge Fact That Being As Young As she Is, Regardless of her Being My Daughter On that Part Just for A Sec., It's Just Stunning On What,& Who she Is Aware & Ackowledged [W/ The Help Of Me Here, why Of Course- lol, But she Makes her Own choices & Decisions, (: So, Like I Was Writing Tho-, 3 Yr.'s Ago- I Commented On This Same Vid, Like I've Been Mentioning Numberous x's, lol- & I Was commenting About How My '4 Yr. Old, (Who's Now 7 Of Course) Like I Said, Loves Elton,& his Music, This Was her first Song she EVER Learned to Sing Word-For-Word, & Grew To First Love, So This Song Is her First, Real, Actual Gateway Into The Passion For Music That she Gained All By her self, Hey, I Sort-Of Just Suggested Mama's Faves By playing Them Around her All Of the Time. 😃 😃 And she Chose her Own Ways. ❤

It was good that this song was rediscovered and included in his 2002 compilation Definitive Elton John. Many fans had never heard of this rare gem. Another song from those Thom Bell sessions was "Mama Can't Buy You Love" which received significant airplay in 1979 on Australian radio. It was included on Greatest Hits Volume 3.

This underrated classic is also included on later versions of that album's UK equivalent 'The Greatest Hits 1970-2002' after it belatedly became a huge No1 hit single over here in 2003.

Then, you're a fan of the Sound of Philadelphia! With MFSB (Mother Father Sister Brother), the studio orchestra, Thom Bell (who produced and arranged these sessions) was a key architect in the Philly Sound of the '70s, with most releases issued on Philadelphia International Records, distributed by CBS Records. Look up the acts and dig 'em up on YT!!

The Rocket Man Meets TSOP! The Thom Bell Sessions remains one of my favs in my music collection. EJ should have done a couple of albums proper with that Philly Genius the great Thom Bell. I like the extended version which features the then new vocalist of the Spinners- Mr. John Edwards- on co-lead vocals taking it to church.
