Sorry but this was not John's last live performance. He performed Imagine April 18,1975 he performed Slipping and Sliding and Imagine. Very unique!!..... You were very Lucky to see Mr.Lennon!

The "lost weekend" ended that night, love for yoko was stronger than everything else , a year later Sean would be born, the return to the stage was that night, his last concert was also that night....from that night only good things had to happen to him.

@@vincentdagostino6431 No you are wrong his last performance was a televised tribute to Sir Lew Grade. He did "Imagine"plus "Slipping +Sliding" April 18,1975. Mr.Grade had a law suite against Lennon and McCartney to over a 100 songs he bought rights to. Look it up the band had mask on the backs of their shaved heads.Very weird and funny.

That wasn't Yoko or an actress. That was his Asian girlfriend at the time. I forget her name but he got back with Yoko shortly after this performance and had baby Sean. The rest is history.

Ha! This is taken from the film "John and Yoko, A Love Story". That's me on bass.. miming on a right handed bass (I'm a lefty). Graham (fatty) Ward on drums (looking nothing like Nigel Olsen), Andy Jacobs on guitar and Mark Mcgann as John Lennon. Filmed at Wembly Conferance Centre. The song was re-recorded at Olympic Studios and, I believe, the sax part was played by Ray Warleigh. When I entered the stage I did a double take when I walked past Mark Mcgann.. he looked so much like Lennon in the dim light !

I think that this is not the audio version that was in the film.. the real givaway for me is that, in the film, my mate Tony, the musical director, did the count in and the producers left it in (much to the amusement of Tony himself)... and in this clip it's most certainly not him.. !!

First of all - it's not the backing band Elton used in 1974 (Nigel Olsen, Dee Murray on drums & bass). Second, Lennon wore his dark shades not the clear ones in this video. Third he didn't wear a black cape, and he had a giant flower hanging around his neck - as did Elton. Not sure where this film came from...

This was recorded in November 1974. The musicians who performed on the live recording here were: John Lennon - guitar, vocals Elton John - harmony vocal, piano Davey Johnstone - guitar Dee Murray - bass Nigel Olsson - drums Ray Cooper - percussion The Muscle Shoals Horns

I thought I'd read somewhere that May was the one John had seated up front, and Yoko was sat way in the back and was angry about it raging at John, but John didn't care. He was buying a house with May by this point. He'd moved on.
