Really rare for EJ to be playing solo in the 80s, especially tracks like Sad Songs and I'm Still Standing. Fascinating show.

It's interesting how young and expressive his voice still is when he's not shouting over the band - as is the case with many of the mid-80s shows.

This was done during a break between touring so explains why he sounds good.

I've had the privilege of seeing Elton multiple times and the man puts on a phenomenal show, but I do wish I could have seen him in the 70s and early 80s. This concert is a real treat.... I think my favorite concerts of his are his solo performances. His musicianship comes through so loud and clear in these types of shows. A big thanks to the party responsible for uploading this gem!

In my opinion, even though he messed up some lyrics, the only version where he sounds like on the studio version indeed

To me it's even better because he sounds even younger. His voice very similar to the late 70's.

It's very rare to see that he was far away from mic when he was singing. He must be very relaxed.

What was he adjusting at 14:16? I’m assuming this piano is the same Hamburg Model D used in 79 era shows with the Helpinstill pick ups. Adjusting that maybe?

all videos are recorded in such poor quality. I saw the recordings from 1900 in better quality. I discovered Elton john after Rocketman movie. And I see you people never really loved him.

@@enta2 shut up you retard he didnt care about buying cameras for people like you who whine about some video from 40 years ago being low quality 😢 it probably was recorded on a higher quality video then the quality was lowered after different generations of tapes were made from it. before you make dumbass statements like this take a second to think about how it works and educate yourself instead of saying "you people never really loved him" neither do you, you became a fan in like 2019 whereas these people who "never really loved him" have probably been fans for twice the amount of years youve unfortunately existed.

@@vap3669 I don't blame him for not making the recordings for me but you who swear that Elton john was the soundtrack of his life and who was never interested in his live performers or with his music but are just the don't go breaking my fans and crocodile rock fans, and fans of his falsetto. You are talent show fans. go sing some karaoke by Maraya Carey and then shut up🥴

@@enta2 i dont know what else to tell you, the fact its low quality does not mean people hate the fuck out of elton john, it simply means its not an official release random people dont have high quality footage, only elton and his team do and they will never officially release this the original copy of this video is probably higher quality but this isnt the original copy like i said! it has nothing to do with people hating elton. youre trying to call me a fake fan which is funny as well you are acting like some extreme fan when you became a fan of elton because of some movie from 2019

That piano sounds horrible! This is like the worst I've heard from Elton!

Elton's white steinway was the one that midi'd all to fuck. The black one is the way a concert grand sounds by default.
