We took my dad to watch this movie two weeks ago. He had been sick. Two days ago, he passed away. This was the last movie he ever watched. I'm glad he did, he really enjoyed it and probably forgot about his pain for the two hours. I recommend everyone go see it, it's a beautiful movie indeed.

The whole movie was a pity party for Elton who is portrayed throughout as a victim. His mum and stepfather were not as bad as shown here, far from it. Also, there's very little in it about how badly ELTON treated people, particularly after he became famous.

Emma Bullerpowell indeed they should have. Elton John was the one who ran backstage after the live aid performance of Queen & was running around yelling, “ you guys stole the show!!”. Elton John had already been famous as well and probably more famous, but he was more than happy to share in the success of another performer’s successes. Elton Freddie we’re good friends anyway. I don’t think that it had so much to do that they were gay and so much that it had everything to do that both of them were incredible geniuses.
