Elton and his 8-piece band entertained not only the fans inside Verona Arena but also a radio and television audience with his 1989 World Tour on April 26. ‘Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)’, the first of three hit singles from his Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album, brought an energetic Elton out from behind (then over and finally nearly under!) his electric piano to whip this Italian crowd into a frenzy.

I saw the same show a week before that in Frankfurt, Germany. The Italy version has far more energy. I remember us talking back then about how weird it was to watch this old guy live, but how he "still had it". Little was known that his best was yet to come.

Is there a footage of „Philadelphia Freedom“ from the 1990 Grosvenor House Hotel-gig? Although not the happiest period of Elton‘s life, the years 1989/1990 feature some remarkable performances. Probably I cherish them so much, because this is when Elton came into my life at the age of 11 and virtually changed my life to this day....💓💗💓💗💓

Sir Elton John, as always, is on the level. He has being my coumire from the 70's yet. But it's some funny for me to watching him, playing on Roland synthesizer instead of his concert Stainway. But, sure, everybody counts this famouse instrument recommended by itself very much. Because the sound banks, downloaded into it, are giving wisheable effect, that nobody omits the difference between its sounding, and the sounding of his famouos Stainway. Though the difference is pesenting here. But it's nothing for nobody, because The Show of this legendary musician is eclipting everything anoughter.
