To me, this is the BEST version of this song. Very energetic and very fun. I love elton.

Thank you for the answer. It makes sense I would think it wouldve taken him at least a year for his voice to fully recover

I love summer of '69, and never knew Brian Adams actually played with Elton John.

Clapton, Adams, even Phil Collins. None of them is into the music. Petty, such a great song.

This is very shortly after his throat surgery, I'd say only about 6 or 7 months afterward. He avoided performing in 1987 except for a few occasions to give his voice time to recover.

I don't understand your comment. What did you expect from them. Clapton never danced around like Townshend, but sure as hell was into it on his solo. Adams sang great and bounced around like he was on a pogo stick near the end. Everybody rocked including the crowd. This is an awesome video.

WOW all my musical heros playing together.

great version. even eric clapton was smiling...no doubt, the tough boy lyrics, so alien to the performers now, reminded him of his old days. marvellous brass chorus line...all in great form. terrific.

Do you have the song Your Song recorded by this very same concert in 1987? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the internet. Elton was dressed exactly liked this when he played Your Song. This version of that song is one of the best I've heard.

Umm, this song has a Saturdaynightcult thought, that still hangs, that's why they are being pro, but blow.
