Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics and Elton did the musical arrangements as with about 95% of their songs. A perfect combination of timeless hits. I will say one thing, Elton might not have the vocal range he had when he was younger due to throat surgery but his voice actually sounds better now than it did when he was younger. Just an amazing performer.
