I think theres no other artist in modern music history who has improved his style of singing this often like Sir Elton in his 50 years of career. Absolutly unique, an absolute Legend who is still able to belt out great new music.

I saw Elton in concert once. I was brought by another because who he wanted to bring couldn’t make it. I was blown away! I’m so glad I came. Wish I could remember the year. It was as wonderful as seeing John Denver in concert. Twice. And when I saw Benny Goodman we’ll that was even greater because my father admired him so much and had all his albums. Dad was from Goodman’s era.

Am I the only one being surprised that in the live versions, at the end of each verse there's a little fill that changes between tonic and (subdominant over tonic) which doesn't exist in the recording? I didn't realize until yesterday. So much better!!

It’s amazing how he’s still performing when you can clearly hear his voice isnt at the standard it was 20 years ago but it’s incredible how he’s adjusted to his changing voice

I saw Elton in concert in Memphis April 14 2001 the richness of his voice singing I'm Still Standing is mindblowing up close and personal
