I wish they had both. I rode Mean Streak in 2015 on the last day 27 times in a row - because nobody rode it. They let us ride through. That happened alot in the last couple of years of operation. I loved Mean Streak's length and sound. Steel Vengeance is more like a video game - you don't get to achieve full sensory stimulation because it just motors through the entire structure. Not sure - but I do love both - but I think I like Mean Streak a little more.

@averyrizzolo90822 жыл бұрын
I’ve ridden Mean Streak over 3 dozen times, and when I worked there in the 2015 season it was starting to age rather quickly. Of course, it was infamous for its rough experience, and some riders leave with a headache, thanks to the very painful sounds produced by the trains. One of the most jarring moments of that ride was almost like you’re working with a jackhammer, another was the over-banked curves, which didn’t quite provide enough airtime, it only provided a moderate amount of lateral Gs. this coaster also had the capability to stack trains just fine, during 3 train operations, in the event of a hold-up. In the mid-2010s, the coaster became a walk-on for the last few seasons of its lifespan, and the wait times were not as busy. In the early years, the trains traveled along parts of the ride too fast which exerted a lot of stress and wear to the tracks, thus requiring a considerable amount of maintenance to keep it running smoothly, and before the start of the 1994 season, trim brakes were added on the main drop to alleviate the stress and wear, thus requiring a less amount of maintenance along most of the tracks, but it still remained just as rough as the years passed on, and it significantly aged and was outdated. This coaster has been one of direct examples of Dinn Corps’ design and engineering inaccuracies and quirks. They were stuck with their primitive design and engineering methods, and never adapted to the computer aided design. Parks were still thrown into a “coaster war” back in the day as they wanted taller and faster coasters that would potentially take the amusement park industry by storm. At heart, Mean Streak was just a mid-20th century-style wooden coaster, but scaled up, and to account for faster speeds and to anticipate the trains’ speed loss, several sections were elevated higher in the air. PTC also designed longer trains, 3 trains with 7 4-seat cars (28 riders per train), anticipating that it would take on the scaled up layout, and it did. Wooden coasters were originally made to be thrill for families, and because they were smaller in height, designers and engineers were able to accurately predict the speed and forces the trains would take on. as well as maintenance that would be needed. This would now explain why most smaller wooden coasters are still in operation to this day, while the larger, mega-sized ones, have become a dying breed.

The Mean Streak looked cool and I've ridden it like 20 times over the years. I stopped riding it as it was not that scary and was getting less smooth with time. It beat you up but not in a thrilling way but as in this is not properly maintained way, like hitting a pot hole in your car because the track was not leveled properly. If you had any back issues it would make them worse. I've not ridden steel Vengeance yet but I hope they fixed the track issues of the mean streak. Also the mean streak used brakes not to make the ride more fun but it was done as an attempt to reduce track wear so not sure why that was even brought up in the video as anything meaningful.

Tried water park, paid like 100+ for the kids to go and 10 seconds after I handed them they money they said "Sorry parks closed there is rain in forcast everyone out no refunds" well it never rained but they kept the money. Then some kind of traffic jam leaving at the park 2.5 hours of not moving at 11pm. So all in all it was the worst cedar point trip ever. Not been back.

I had to physically try and stand in the seat so I wasn't touching the seat as every bump crushed my tailbone. That was the last time for me and later in the night when my friends wanted to go on it (since it had no line) I said Nope I am done and went to get a beer. Enjoyable video! One of my Favorites! Upload MORE :) From a business standpoint ONLY. If you can imagine another steel hyper-hybrid roller coaster, hopefully built by Intamin (Werner Stengel a German Design Engineer responsible for introducing the Maverick). Note: Werner Stengel was not given the task of the Steel Vengeance, nevertheless, Design Engineer Alan Schilke, designed the concept. Since 1964, only 17 roller coasters exist underneath Cedar Fair LP's belt @CP. Fun Fact: CP has an estimated 3.6 million visitors per year and the CP openned in 1870. According to an anonymous source (RZ and JM), Intamin could potentially be in the stages of designing a VR for it's 150th Anniversary. While trial and error is being conducted (hense the Iron Dragon), the only question is... how will it stand in comparison to other parks. RZ, will focus on "Incremental Audiences," furthermore, there are numerous customer feedback stations located throughout CP (enough to make note of as unusual). Visitors are craving something new every year, however, 2019 could possibly be a complete makeover for CP. Offering new upgrades to many CP attractions providing an ultimate guest experience like no other. Along with the remodeling phase, rumors of VR technology ARE real. If you could design a VR roller coaster, what would you call it, what colors would be, and what track elements (e.g. Inclined Loops, Inline Twists, Airtime Hills) are your favorite? Leave your comments here or contact CP directly @ www.cedarpoint.com/help/contact-us. and remember to follow @TonyClarkCP on Twitter :) He'll appreciate hearing from you as well (TRUST US). Thanks for taking the time to respond your feedback could impact CP for 2020!!!

It's quite awesome, unlike the throbbing back pain and headache caused by being jarred around and beaten to a pulp by that god awful atrocity known as mean streak. If you were to take that same 5 year old and slam them violently into the ground, that's mean streak. I know which I prefer.
@echt1145 жыл бұрын
@Steven Hall Jr: For me the rush is all about the visuals, the dangerous feeling of the height, speed and especially the closeness to terrain as it flies by. Then there's the sound - the roar and clanking and accompanies all that. Also love launches and tight inversions. Compared to all that, the falling feeling (airtime) is boring to slightly uncomfortable. I've ridden rollercoasters since I was a little kid and would never describe any of them as "beaten to a pulp." That just seems really exaggerated. The only one I'd say was physically a problem was Riddler's Revenge at Magic Mountain, and that's about the restraint placement.

@@echt114 Oh. I've always loved that falling feeling. Drop towers were my absolute favorite as a kid.
