I don't think you'll ever run out of mice, FOTF. They like chicken food. I would just keep the trap going all the time and think of a more convenient form of disposal (like a bucket of water😬) I'm more fearful about weasels. I have trapped 7 of them since getting my chickens last summer. Mice don't kill chickens but weasels do. Have a nice Easter weekend.
