the best era marvel has ever had:2008-2019 infinity saga then its anime for kids and Deadpool comes to prove that a character obsolete and meaningless to the mcu...endgame was game over praise to the russos honestly and on their place i would come back either because joking with a climax of a saga just because is "cool"is spit it out on their work to achieve the great goal that endgame is...on the otherside i hate characters that are always joking with dark humour and they are always angry with the world like logan punisher blade and other characters come on folks do we really neeed griddy scenarios and characters with two main wars happening and other bad stuff come one get together!

It’s crazy how during the film I felt like I was watching the Elvis just performing. Austin not only did an amazing job acting but he sang amazingly similar! I also had no idea how tragic Elvis’ life was with his manager. It’s crazy how massive he was worldwide without performing out of the US

Austin only actually sang during the 1950s live segments. The rest of the film was Elvis' actual voice singing 99% of the time.

Lisa Marie passed away suddenly on January 12, 2023; just a couple of weeks before her 55th birthday. Not sure of the actual cause but it is very similar to how Elvis died. She is buried at Graceland next to her son. Priscilla is still very much alive.

Finally this film!!!!! I found myself feeling a lot of sympathy for him. As he was an artist who never got to fulfill his destiny because no one around him was looking out for him, much like Witney Houston. But Elvis would be happy to know he was remembered 🥰

Austin absolutely did Elvis justice with his performance 💯 % ~ I was always an Elvis fan growing up and still listen to his music daily! I was honestly afraid to watch this movie because I didn’t want to feel embarrassed for him and it took me a year to watch it! Boy was I wrong and now I’m even more obsessed with it! I enjoy watching Austin & Elvis comparisons on KZbin, and Austin truly embodied Elvis for this movie! They couldn’t have picked a better actor or director! He paid great honor and tribute to Elvis & his family. Austin has an incredible show biz path ahead and he will forever carry a form of Elvis in everything he does! ❤️🖤

It’s so sad that Elvis was so afraid he wouldn’t be remembered. It’s been 47 years after he died and every year on the anniversary of his death and his birthday, thousands of people go to Graceland to honor him. Also you asked how many shows did he do a day in Vegas. Mostly he would do 2 shows but sometimes 3 a day! He was and will always be the greatest entertainer ever!! ❤️

Austin did an amazing job. When he was on the screen it was like Elvis himself was walking u through his life. His acting, dancing, manorisim,singing, fill on stage performances. Aystin delivered a once in a lifetime Oscar performance but was ribbed of taking home the Iscar he deserved. Plus the movie had 8 nominations and was shut out. The academy lost their integrity a long time ago. Austin and the mo ue did win alot of awards workd wide it was just the poor excuse of academy voters who didn't reward the right performances. They were on a redemption tour and jyst gave awards to actirs they felt were over due for 1 instead of the performances at hand.

This movie was not fictional and Baz spent years researching the subject of Elvis and Colonel Tom. He robbed Elvis of his freedom by keeping him stuck in Vegas instead of allowing him to see the world. Colonel Tom was a Dutch criminal who could not get a passport and lied about why Elvis couldn’t go overseas. The movie shows the essence of how Elvis changed the world of music and became the first superstar. I loved this movie completely

I loved the film. I was apprehensive about it when I saw pictures of Austin Butler at first - but his acting/portrayal of Elvis was so good that and misgivings I had were quickly erased. I realize that although some of the things in the movie did not happen or did not happen the way they portrayed it Baz Luhrman did a wonderful job telling Elvis' story - the good and the bad parts of his life - he did not ignore the bad parts to glorify Elvis - Elvis was human after all and did have his issues.

I know two things in the movie that never happened or were highly exaggerated. One, the Comeback special wasn’t as much of a Christmas show as it’s portrayed to be. They wanted him to sing a few Christmas songs and his last song of the special to be a Christmas song instead of the powerful song dedicated to Martin Luther King. And the second thing I know for sure that did not happen was the outburst on stage of him firing the Colonel. I’m sure he did fire him at one point and take him back, but that wasn’t out in public. Side note Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You was meant for Elvis to sing. He never did it because of the Colorel. Also RIP Lisa Marie.
@Lynn7015hb
@Lynn7015hb 11 ай бұрын
Dolly's "I will always love you" was not meant to be sung by Elvis. She wrote it for someone in her life & said so when she introduced the song. Elvis then wanted to sing it but also to buy the rights from her & she wouldn't sell, so they were not able to work out a deal in which he could sing it. This info came from Dolly's mouth directly while on camera.

Bazz the director is all about kinetic energy with his films where it's always constant movement in every scene of his film(s). Elvis Presley was the perfect film where he brought that flamboyant side of Elvis Presley, the musical persona of the iconic legend. Not sure about Rocketman, but Rami Malek lip synced all the songs in Bohemian Rhapsody … Austin actually sang all the songs in the 50’s, and his voice was blended with Elvis’ in the later years. However, Austin sang his own version of In The Ghetto, which has been published, but wasn’t in the movie. Also, back when the controversy of his ‘hanging out with the blacks’ came about, it was against the law for whites to socialize with blacks. Elvis could have cared less and did it anyway. He was raised with blacks and it was just natural to him.

My dad's side of the family has always been huge Elvis fans, and all of them loved this. It was a great performance from Butler, and honestly while it wasn't his best role by miles Hanks wasn't that bad in my opinion, I can get why people didn't like framing it from the Colonel's perspective but it furthered the sympathy towards Elvis that way. Amazing costuming as well

I agree with you, this was one of the slowest movies I’ve watched in theaters. But it turned out to be a phenomenal movie. Definitely worth the wait while watching

Lisa Marie gave Austin Butler THE Biggest compliment saying "he Channeld my father". To Win the Golden Globe but Not the Oscar was So Wrong

You have no idea how they rushed the stage. In Kansas City, his drummer got thrown into the audience by girls on the stage.

What is more of a crime is the film was nominated for 8 awards 1 being best actor for Austin and it was shut out no wins at all.

Who else remembers Austin Butler from Nickolodeon (iCarly and Zoey 101)?🤣 He’s really grown as an actor💪🏽🔥. He was great in this movie🙌🏼

If everyone who thinks Austin Butler still has his "Elvis voice" listen to how he sounded before all the vocal training, it would most likely change their opinion. I watched his feature on Hannah Montana in the early 2000s and it made me realize his voice hasn't changed that drastically. Yes, his voice does appear deeper but not as different as others claim. The jokes about it are funny tho!
