My one year and six months late reaction to your comments, ELVIS remains in a solo singer class of his own, tomorrow 16/8/22 hundreds if not thousands will descend at his final resting place Graceland in Memphis, with a candlelit vigil this is 45 years since Elvis left the building and still the rightful recognition to his influence on music is being rightfully bestowed, for me being an Elvis fan for the last 62 years his songs have lifted me through my good and bad times in my life, and there has been no entertainer like Elvis that can touch your heartstrings with his Gospel, in a nutshell there will never be another solo male singer to match Elvis Aaron Presley.

So beautiful that I could cry. He’s so diverse and unique. For a guy who never had a bit of formal music training. It’s just a God given gift that he learned by trial and error how to improve. He just grabs your soul and never lets go until the end and you find yourself either smiling, crying or just a bit baffled by how much you’re feeling. I watch and listen to loads of music but I always go back to Elvis if I need something for my emotions. I pick me up. A good cry etc because he sings so diversely. No wonder they call him the man of 1,000 voices. Michael Bublee once said “Elvis’s throat was kissed by God” & Michael is a beautiful singer. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. God bless.

Yes this was also in 1970. but to the contrary, he was in perfect physical condition during this time, slim and fit, I think the close up of his face might have looked as though his facial features had rounded, but that was not at all the case, it was camera angle. he looked the same as he did in his 1970 Suspicious minds performance. Great review thank you,

Elvis had an amazing vocal range & could easily sing anything....such a beautiful soul singing a beautiful song 💞 He gave his all...literally...yet had noone to help him when he needed a true friend to help him carry his hugh burdens!! Totally agree he doesnt seem to even need to try....he sustains notes effortlessly, doesnt seem to have to take deep breaths just before a massive note belted out...u never hear him heavy breathing even towards the end of concerts... Nice reaction...yes a super sexy cool but humble guy who was off the chain vocally & in looks...a one off despite having an IDENTICAL TWIN ( Can u imagine if there had been 2 of them 🤪) A beautiful soul who gave so much..RIP 🥰

He was/is a phenomenon. His gospel songs are amazing too. Please see him sing How Great Thou Art. But if you want something completely different try listening to him sing Guadalajara. These first time reactions are a lot better than the ones who already know what to expect. I really liked the things you said about him in this reaction vid. I like that you think about what you are saying and check your words to make sure they are accurate.

Good Lord, he was a beautiful man! 😍 I've always envied any person who got to see Elvis perform live. He captivates a KZbin audience nearly 45 years after his passing, so just imagine the emotions one would feel seeing him perform in person. His presence was and still is electrifying! I was 8 when Elvis left us, but I remember that day as clear as if it were yesterday. A lot of sensational entertainers have come along since Elvis, but none - NONE - have measured up to his natural charisma, his ability to stir something in people's souls. There will never be another Elvis. 💖

It’s the same song. Paul Simon said, after hearing Elvis singing, how the heck am I supposed to follow that? Paraphrasing. Subbed. React to his gospel music. That’s also phenomenal. There was no one like him. No one can top him. That special was filmed over sever nights at the Hilton and sometimes the songs show him wearing different outfits mid song.

Good reaction. I have learned of the music of Elvis from KZbin and become a fan. Saying that he is the King of rock and roll doesn't do him justice because he is so versatile. I don't think you have done a song from his 1968 comeback special. I recommend Trying to Get to You from that performance

Great reaction. The songs you mentioned were filmed in concert for the documentary Elvis thats the way it is. I think he was quite slim here and in the best shape. He is in 5 halls of fame : Rock and Roll, Rockabilly, Blues, Gospel , Country. He won 3 Grammy awards for his gospel recordings. The next song you should react to is AMERICAN TRILOGY from the worldwide satellite concert in 1973 where he is wearing his most famous jumpsuit the Eagle suit also from that concert the powerful WHAT NOW MY LOVE

Thank you for your very insightful reaction. You asked "He was the greatest, but the greatest at what?" The answer is "everything!" He could sing any genre of music, and no auto-tune. His moves were natural and original. He had a fashion model's body (6 ft, 170lbs) according to his costume designer. Handsome from any angle. Charisma is not sufficient to describe his persona. Many women AND men are on record as saying that when Elvis walked into a room, you knew he entered the room, even if your back was to the door, because his presence was so electrifying. He was known for his sense of humor, on and off stage, and his kindness, generosity and humility, never forgetting where he came from. What other performer has profoundly influenced our music and culture and continues to be relevant today, 44 years after his death? We all know the undisputable answer, ELVIS PRESLEY!

Elvis’ health in the mid-70s was poor. If you look at him waist down and sideways on you notice that his upper torso and face are bloated rather than fat. He suffered from glaucoma (which is why he wore dark glasses), insomnia his whole life, and some hereditary problems that also killed his mother and others of her family at a young age. This was why he leaned so much on medically prescribed drugs, which themselves had side effects. Yet he kept performing and his voice never failed him.

Agree to some extent...yes MID 70’s, so 75 til his death 18 MONTHS later! Even then there’s footage of him on his last holiday In 77 and he looks great...even I was surprised lol After being a sexy slender figure most of his adult life, by his 40’s can’t a man put on a bit of weight!!! 🙄😕 of course not when poor Elvis. Yes he had health issues but overall he looked pretty fantastic til almost the end....even then, when u see how big people are today....he’d be classed as positively skinny 😂 Trouble is a slimmer person shows ANY weight gain as there is NOWHERE TO HIDE.....a larger person can put on a stone or 3 an no one hardly notices coz it’s absorbed easily....Elvis couldn’t win, he was only human after all & living up to an image was very hard on him ❤️❤️😕🕊🌻 RIP Elvis ...u did good & ur beautiful voice will live on 🤘🏼✨🥰

The 3 songs you mentioned were all taken from 1970 documentary "That's the Way It Is". His eight did fluctuate, but at these concerts he had a 30" waist and weighed about 160 to 170. He was 6' tall. He had some allergies that made his face a little puffy at times. He was the very best ever, very few contenders and no equals.

@toodlescae3 жыл бұрын
Elvis didn't really have a genre of music. He WAS a genre. A genre all his own that no one before or since has managed to duplicate. Elvis was in great shape here. He always had weight issues due to health problems and rx medications so it fluctuated. In 72 he put on weight but lost sone of it by 73. By 77 he was at his at his heaviest. He had severe health problems and was relying even more on rx drugs that we know now should not be prescribed together let alone in the quantities and dosages his doctors were prescribing. He also had obvious signs of congestive heart failure that I recognize now because that's what killed my dad. Two things that never changed over those years was his amazing vocal talent and his obvious joy in performing for his fans.

I read somewhere that when Elvis recorded this song in the studio, 1 take according to his bass and piano players, that this was the only time he got a little full of himself or competitive with another singer when after he finished his version he said " I just wanted to show Garfunkel how it should be done". I don't know if it's true but Paul Simon thought it was hard to compete with Elvis's version and that's the guy that wrote it.
