Elvis probably didn't sell his soul to the devil for fame and fortune. but many people thought famous violinist Niccolo Paganini actually had made a deal with the devil, going so far as to call him the Devil's Violinist. Find out why here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJOtnJuVnZdrrrc

It had to be anounnced because when the show was over kids were still hanging around to see if he would come out for any reason, LOTS of kids. They had to tell them that Elvis has left the building to get them to finally leave. He made a frenzy wherever he went.

In my roadieing days long ago, the duo I worked for would often get asked to play Elvis. He wasn't really their style, and their sarcastic response (which usually had the audience laughing) was "Elvis has left the building! He's eaten absolutely everything else, but he's left the building..." If you're an Elvis fan - sorry, it seemed funny at the time. #o)

I think the best Elvis impersonation is Johnny Bravo not Greg Brady's alter-ego but the Cartoon Network Cartoon Character Johnny Bravo
@tigurinntigrason34278 жыл бұрын
I always thought that the phrase "Elvis has left the building!" was coined after one concert when Elvis jokingly said "Girls, I'll see you backstage" and they jumped the stage and Elvis ran towards the backstage and they ripped his clothes off and the police had a really tough time getting him outside of the building and away from the massive girl crowd (and I guess, a waiting car). From that moment on the phrase "Elvis has left the building" was always used; and to the best of my knowledge also, the police always had to be present at all of his concerts until his very last one. And on the "Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis" LP, Al Dvorin doesn't say "Elvis has left the building", but he says "Elvis has left for Graceland", which was Elvis' home in Memphis - which is now the second most visited house in the USA (after the White House)

OrchestrationOnline The manager didn't care how many dego, Guinnea, WOP, greaseball goombahs come out of the woodwork...until Luca Brassi held a gun to his head, and Vito assured him that either his brains or his signature would be on the contract. The manager then let Elvis go, with his olive oil voice and Guinnea charm.

Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't "liking" a video be spontaneous? A host begging for it is a turnoff, to the point where I'll ignore the request, even when I would've otherwise hit the button. The same goes for the "subscribe" option.

An estimate by Daily Mail puts Elvis’ earnings during his lifetime at around $100 million, which would be around $400 million today. When he died at the age of 42, he had about $5 million in the bank (about $20.5 million today), according to Forbes.

The true peak of this catchphrase was GTA 2! When you killed an entire group of (6-8?) Elvis impersonators in one blow, you got a bonus and the catchphrase was played. Please note the fact there was no need to put these guys in the game BUT to use this catchphrase for the otherwise meaningless and senseless occasion of a player taking out all at once. I love GTA for these things

I always assumed that the announcer would say "Elvis has left the building!" while Elvis was hiding backstage so the crowds would leave. After they were gone he could safely go home without fear of being mobbed by lunatics wanting to sell his hair or something.

We do deep and broad research to try to pull out all the interesting details related to a topic. That, along with our accuracy, is what makes our work unique on the interwebs, and ensures that even if you know a bit about a given topic, you'll still learn some additional interesting things you didn't know before. Essentially we tend to skew a bit more towards the "education" side of "edutainment" than most places, though still trying to keep things interesting. Kind of our shtick. ;-)

Elvis didn't write his own songs. He got co-writing credit on some of the songs he did, but he got all of his songs from other songwriters. Elvis' early fans were young fans of Elvis and that newfangled rock and roll music. He had older fans because as he got older, his fans did, too.
@angelwhispers20607 жыл бұрын
"bieber" is a poser compared to the King. They called Elvis this because of the absolute devotion expressed by some fans regardless of their gender. many mmany bar fights have happened over someone disrespecting Elvis. there are plenty or Record to digital sound systems out there. buy one and then go ride your nearest pawn shop or half price book or another second hand store for Every Elvis record you can find. the Anolog sound from a record is Still Far SUpperior to digital.
@Diamonddogusa7 жыл бұрын
Comparing Elvis to Bieber is sacrilege, so I seriously hope you're just trolling here. Elvis is one of the great interpretive singers of the 20th century and a natural performer. There's a reason he's in the rock and roll hall of fame, the Country music hall of fame and the Gospel hall of fame.
