The Hilton Las Vegas - where he says he seen Elvis was referred to as "the house" as are all hotels and bars/pubs. have you not ever heard the saying " house wine" or "it is on the house" or "those are house rules" It was when Elvis filled arenas across the country that they were referred to simply as " the building" as in ' Elvis has left the building'.

They didn't say house and they didn't say building. They said ... nothing at all. Just because Elvis' suite was in the hotel. So, he didn't leave the house. I have 300 Vegas shows on audience tapes and several dozend as soundboard recordings. The musicians just endet the show and the curtain went down. That was it. There were announcements for other shows, or events in the casino etc. but no "Elvis has left the building". That was on his Tour concerts after he left the auditorium.
