His jump suits weighed almost 30 pounds by itself. The women loved throwing their panties on stage, and some didn't bother taking them off first! I've been to his concerts in the late '70's and never have I seen a performer bring the crowd up on the edge of the seat and push them back in the seat at will without a moments notice. Truly understood how the spirit in man actually worked within the human. He was a true craftsman of his trade. Being a real successful performer in this industry is so very very much of a demanding GRIND that no one that's never been there can't possibly understand. Dates cannot be cancelled regardless of how deathly ill you are or how sick of doing a piece of music you get from playing it 2 or 3 shows a day for 7 days a week for 4 continuous months but you have to play it because that's what they came and paid to hear & you must sell it with the same enthusiasm as you did when it was released 20 years ago. They have no social life for they're all working while everyone else is doing what everyday people do and enjoying their peers and planning adventures to embark upon. It's a tough gring and illegal substances are used to enable them to successfully sell the product they are sick of.
