thats what everyone who gives elvis a chance says, his voice is soothing and calming in the way that you can listen to him all day and he wont give you a headache!!! he can sing all day and half the time i can continue my day without noticing that music is even on, hes got a calm calm voice, like water, water flowing quietly… and sometimes its a waterfall - both ways, anyways

The pictures in the video are actually earlier than the song. Moody Blue is the title track from Elvis' last album in 1977. That's why you can hear that semi-disco beat in the chorus.

His last hit during the time he left us early. It is a country rock song with a touch of disco in the chorus. Disco had just begun to take off during this time and if you notice the chorus the disco influence. Elvis would have made all types of songs great and would have embraced the 80's modern sound. It would have been amazing.

A Humdinger indeed! Love your energy R’Elvis. Great to wake up to on a freezing morning in England!! Elvis’s voice was so naturally calming because he sang effortlessly and with his heart and soul. Definitely “an echo that will never die”. As for those individuals who have to spout their hate for Elvis, they are stuck in a rut of only wanting to believe the worst of people. They believe hearsay as there is no actual written or recorded evidence of Elvis being rude, racist or arrogant. He was brought up to be polite and humble and respectful. He never would do anything his mother would have disliked. 👌💕🙏🕺

Elvis could rock it even though he was so ill at the time! And I agree completely with the ridiculousness of trying to fit 50s, 60s or 70s Elvis into the morality of 2023. My dad grew up in the Depression South just as Elvis did, and the context of the time was just different. Folks from the North and West just wouldn't get it unless, like me, they had someone who was there and able to explain how things worked then as opposed to now. 50, 60, 70 years ago is a long time, and many things that were normal then would be unthinkable now. Let the haters say what they will, I pay them no mind. Their agenda - and they still have one ALL these years later - is irrelevant to me. Unbelievable that 46+ years after his death, Elvis still poses some kind of threat to them. Sheesh.

Great Reaction Video Ray! Everytime I watch your videos you start moving & grooving around I got to move around too! Bad news is I can’t dance. When I get up an start dancing It’s break dancing! Almost everytime I break something or almost my neck too! lol My Daddy was a great Dancer tried & tried to teach me to Dance. I’d always step all over his feet. Even lil he’d have me put my feet on top of his & hold my hands dancing with me almost everytime my knee or leg would accidentally kick his leg or shin. One Day I said , “Daddy I really don’t like to dance at all! He looked at me an said ,Well why didn’t you just tell me that honey? I said,”Daddy I thought you’d get tired of me kicking you or stepping on your feet! He busted out laughing an said, “I thought you really wanted to learn!” True story! Thank you cause this song brung all those precious memories right back to me. The great thing about being an Elvis fan all my life cause certain songs take me right back to my memories about the songs . People we love pass on a leave us. My memories don’t & Elvis brings them all back to me! It’s like I have My Daddy right here again! So Thank Ray & Thank You Tonya aka Heavenly Presley! Many hugs, blessings prayers sent to Ray & family, Tonya & Rest of The Vibe Gang too! Everyone Take Care! 😍👑❤️😇🙏🕯️🌹♥️🩷

THE ENDING THOUGH! LOVE IT RAY 🎵💙🎵 AND FURRY ROAD OF FUN LMAO 😂😂😂 I AM FOR SURE BORROWING THAT! AND YES RAY, THIS IS A GREAT SONG TO GROOVE TO 🎵🙌💃🙌💃🎵 YOU ARE SO SWEET & FUNNY RAY & I THINK YOU GOT SMARTS TOO 💯 THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT THE HERE AND NOW IS NOT 🎶YESTERDAY🎶 It was so different back then. I mean we as people have not changed. The times have changed. Technology has changed. Our lives are easier in some ways because of electricity alone (watch how a dinner was prepared in 1500's England, oh my God the WORK. Cooking was SO much more work than it is now. You had to get a fire going first before you could even boil water and because the water was so bad the common housewife had to know how to make weak ale because no one drank plain water unless you wanted to expire from cholera or something even worse than that. Some 90 years ago, Elvis's Mom worked as a stoop laborer in the cotton fields when he was a baby. You think that was easy? HECK NO. Gladys was a tough lady in her own right. And she did what she did without complaint or without expectation of praise. A hard- working wife and mother. She did what she had to do. It was DIFFERENT back in those days. That does not mean people still do not struggle today. They do, absolutely, everyone struggles or has struggled. But that is also just life. Life isn't fair. But life is a blessing. I do not want to be preachy or anything but I know and love someone who was an addict and now every day they feel blessed just because they woke up in the morning and one more day of sobriety is behind them and a new day is beginning.) Moving on to Elvis Extras! So this is for Ray: Elvis recorded this song and others on his Moody Blue album in the Jungle Room at Graceland. The following about The Jungle Room is from their site: Elvis never called the Jungle Room by that name; to him, it was just the den. But thanks to its unique, exotic décor, the room became known as the Jungle Room after Graceland opened to the public. The carved wooden furniture was purchased by Elvis at a furniture store in Memphis called Donald's. Elvis added the area as an extra family room Elvis added the area as an extra family room during the 1960s. First it was a screened porch, then it became an actual room. He had the waterfall installed in 1965. While shopping for furniture in 1974, Elvis saw the collection of Polynesian-inspired furniture and fell in love. It reminded him of his favorite vacation destination - Hawaii - and it’s believed he purchased all of the furniture in a matter of 30 minutes. The carved wood details, the faux fur upholstery and the green shag carpet - on both the floor and the ceiling - give the room it’s completely one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Hawaii inspired the look of the room, but all of the furniture was purchased locally in Memphis. That shag carpet came in handy when Elvis decided to turn the Jungle Room into a makeshift recording studio. The songs recorded there are featured on Elvis’ albums, “From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee,” and a few more are featured on “Moody Blue.” And that is it everyone! That's all I've got! ADDED TO RELVIS PLAYLIST THANK YOU AGAIN RAY 🎵💙🌞🌈🌞💙🎵 TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕

Sammy - thanks so much for the info - as always. Gladys was definitely the "head" of the Presley Family while she lived - as is common in many southern families. Vernon, for whatever reason (and I admit I don't know) seemed to move from job to job, while Gladys maintained a steady employment in a Memphis factory, so I think it would be fair to credit her with being the main support of her family. Elvis definitely deferred to her, and pretty much what she said was the end of the discussion. IMO, things might have gone at least somewhat differently had Gladys lived, but she unfortunately had the same genetic diseases that eventually killed Elvis. But one thing I have noted from personal experience. Young men, especially southern young men, who lose their mothers early, have a tendency to get stuck, emotionally, at the age they were when their mothers passed. A lot of their behaviors can be explained when looking through that glass. I think it was true with Elvis as well. He aged and matured in some ways, but often behaved emotionally as though he were still 19. It doesn't mean he was any less responsible for his actions, good or bad, or that he was any less the generous, lovable, kind man that he was, but, to me, it explains a lot, especially some of his attitudes toward the women in his life. Thanks again for always being there with the info we need. Please keep it coming. Love and joy to you and yours, KP

@@Kathryne0816 I hear you Miss Kathryne. I think too there were some in Elvis's inner circle that did not want Elvis to go on a journey of personal growth. I think mentally/ spiritually Elvis felt stifled just as creatively he felt frustrated. Not saying that Elvis did not make mistakes. He did. Yes he was a giving and generous and loving human being. But he was hardly a perfect one. I do not view Elvis as a saint. As a flawed human being, yes. Saint, no. Interesting what you said about Southern men. My Mom's Dad was born and raised in Kentucky. He did not know his father (long story). But my grandfather grew up fast I guess you could say. He grew up poor on a tenant farm. He had to milk the family cow, take care of the chickens, help his grandfather with the caring of the crops, and to go hunt or fish for dinner. He did this while working a job starting at eight years old and going to school. I guess one could make the argument that if my grandfather had a father he would not have had to work so hard from a young age. Long story short he became a success. Served in the U.S. Army, went to college, became a mechanical engineer. The highlight of his career for him was when he had to speak in front of Congress (I forget what the issue of the day was; I would have to ask my Mom she would know). Who knows how Elvis's would have turned out if his mother Gladys had lived longer... I do think Gladys would have had a positive influence on him. She always had. I do think things would have turned out differently, definitely. Very interesting points, Miss Kathryne 😊👍 Much love 💖💜💙💛 & blessings 🙏🙏🙏🙏 to you & yours as well 💕
