Elvis had some of the best backup singers & musicians in the business & he appreciated them very much! They all seemed to have so much fun making great music together. Elvis was conducting & performing. He also did alot of the song arrangements. Just a historical note...the Aloha From Hawaii concert was the 1st live satellite broadcast worldwide..period....& was seen by approximately 1.5 billion people. At the time the earth's population was under 4 billion..if my memory is correct. All live, no auto tune or lip syncing. Still amazing all these years later.

Such a wonderful, respectful reaction. I really enjoyed your thoughtful comments and appreciation. Elvis was a master musician and entertainer as well as a beautiful person inside and out. I was lucky to grow up with him in my world and got to see him live 13 times. Always a breathtaking experience and among my best memories.❤️❤️❤️

You are so right about Elvis making his audience feel part of him. I saw him in person in 1976, and he was unbelievable, almost supernatural with his charisma, good looks and incredible voice.

I grew up listening to Elvis Presley and i never get tired of listening to him. His stage out fits were special desbyhis designer. Those were the styles in the 60's to 70's called Bellbottom or Flare bottom. This sty comes from the U.S Navy uniform Flare bottom. It 2as popular for men and women. I have seen young people from Hip-hop and another who have found out about Elvand they are so excited to watch him and listen to him singing. They are so proud to be his fans.

Great reaction! Thanks for sharing. I laid on my sister’s front room floor to watch the, “Aloha from Hawaii” broadcast. Having grown up as an Elvis movie fan, then seeing the 1968 special, this was a totally new and different Elvis to me! We went to see him in concert a year later. Amazing experience! This performance has always been one of my favorites. Thanks again.

A beautiful reaction. This is one of the great live performances for sure. I have not yet met a reactor that goes down the Elvis Presley rabbit hole that doesn't at some point or in some cases many times over, make the comment that they really wish they could have been there to see him live. I know I subscribed a while back but I honestly can't remember what you've done and not done by him. If you haven't done it, definitely check out bridge over troubled water, live in Vegas in 1970 in the white jumpsuit. It is phenomenal.

some performers are about themselves, and some are about the music itself.. the latter shine the brightest

Some info on the RAMP from the STAGE: Producer/director Marty Pasetta told Elvis' manager Parker that he wanted to build a ramp for Elvis to walk out onto & Parker said no; Pasetta explained that it would be 8 ft. wide & Elvis could stay in the middle or go to the left or to the right if he wanted to (Pasetta knew how important the audience was to Elvis); Parker said no; fortunately, Pasetta was able to meet w-Elvis & he explained exactly what he told Parker; fortunately again, Elvis overrode Parker & told Pasetta to build the ramp. Paseta told Elvis he wanted him to lose 25 lbs., which Elvis did. Elvis then hugged Pasetta & said you are one of the few people who has been totally honest w-me. Imagine how different that concert would have been if Elvis didn't have the option to get in close contact w-his audience. HE would have been just as spectacular, but without the ramp the concert would have had a very different feel. Song meaning of Trilogy -- a medley of three uniquely American pieces: “Dixie,” (dixie means the states down south in the U.S.); “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” a marching hymn of the Union Army during the American Civil War; and “All My Trials,” a Bahamian lullaby related to African American spirituals sung by protesting folksingers of the 1950s. Thank you for this.

Breathtaking. Wish his old wife would stop the nasty and negative books quotes and a movie or 2. Elvis was a private y caring individual. I love his voice and can close my eyes ❤️ and know him. His child is gone, grandson gone, Please. Keep his music alive for only him and fans .
