The chemistry between them is great. And this chemistry was real! They were close! I mean verrry close❣😍 Their romance lasted one year. But it was more than only a romance, it was real, deep love. They were soulmates! Unfortunatly it didn't work, but they remained friends, till the day he died! They were great together, in VLV they had another duet " C' mon Everybody". And another great one is "Your're The Boss", but it was cut out because it was too hot💥. But you can find it here on YT. It seems if you have jumped on the Elvis train. When ELVIS died, as per news reports and supporting vintage photos, ANN MARGRET was the most grieving and saddened. Looking at her at the interment, news correspondents told exactly what they saw and felt. She was so contagious that made me misty-eyed then and even today with my EP collection of an American tabloid magazine dated August 1977 featuring various pages of THE KING's funeral vigil and interment. Ms. Margret made me curious because I was thinking that she was much more affected by the death of ELVIS than his ex-wife

Two songs with Ann-Margaret and Elvis that didn't make it to the film : "Today, Tomorrow And Forever." In the movie only Elvis sings it. It's beautiful, but I like the duet version. This is a classic. Unfortunately, this song (one of the very few) remained unreleased until long after his death. I remember getting hold of a bootleg record of Viva Las Vegas in the 70's and to this day, it's one of my most prized possessions because of the few outtakes and this song in particular.

They fell for each other pretty much right away after they met. Whenever they made this movie and afterwards they had a huge affair. Priscilla got wind of it but I don’t I don’t think fazed him. Every time she opened in Las Vegas he sent her flowers. When she didn’t receive her flowers she knew something was wrong. Elvis had passed away. She attended his funeral.

If there hadn't been influencing factors and Elvis's own worry about marrying another in the business things may have turn out differently. (continuation of my.commentary just sent a few minutes): Priscilla Beaullieu. I really hadn't seen any photos of Priscilla's reactions during that fateful August 1977. The two ladies are indeed beauties to behold. Of course, their beauties are in the eyes of the beholder but honestly I find Ms. Margret as possessing a refreshing aura and gentleness. Hers face alone is radiating, the more you look at her, the more you will be enchanted. I read some EP fans' opinion that ELVIS could still be alive today if he married ANN instead. These fans look at ANN as a more sacrificial, persevering and a model of a loving wife. Anyway, fate had it and so ELVIS is survived by his only pretty child LIZA that later gave him cute grandchilds. THANKS MUCH Ms. Simone for this special video. It certainly brings back unceasing nostalgia on THE GUY WHO STARTED IT ALL!!!

Ann Margaret was HOT back in the day. I mailed her for a signed photograph when I was a kid and she graciously sent me one. That was a thing back then. You got a mail address for a celebrity and you send them a letter to ask for a signed pic, and sometimes they actually would. This was back in the late 60's and early 70's.

I got to meet a relative of Elvis’ (without knowing it) at a movie premiere in Hollywood and I helped them by holding the door open and we got into a conversation. They were both in town visiting a friend before going back to Las Vegas for his show the next day. They decided to go to the movie last minute and she had given her driver the day off since they were dropped off to stay with their friend for the night. His Aunt did not like hotels lol. Well, she was so grateful and said she enjoyed our talk and she finally told me she was his Aunt. She them asked for an address to have Elvis send a personally autographed photo to me. I received it 3 days later with his personal signature on it thanking me for being nice to his Aunt, along with a set of tickets for his opening night show!!!!!! OMG IT WAS GREAT!!!!

Other movies that really show Elvis' true acting ability are as someone mentioned below: King Creole (1958) Jailhouse Rock (1957) Love me Tender (1956) Flaming Star (1960) Change of Habit (1969) CHARRO! (1969) I can't say i can pick a favorite as i naturally love them ALL....But high on the list for me personally is CHARRO!, because it's a totally different kind of Elvis. He's bearded, he sings no songs during the movie's story line (just ove the opening titles he sings the tiTle song, "CHARRO!". In that movie, he plays an ex outlaw cowboy gone straight. His Charector, Jess Wade left his brother's outlaw gang, went straight and then returned to steal back something of significance that they stole from the Mexican government...not gonna say what that something is in case you haven't seen it, and if you haven't, you really should. The ending, which I'm also not gonna tell you is very different than in most of his films.

Most people like VLV, but more the men, because Ann-Margret. 😉 --------------------------- Okay, that said, this is obviously a recording off the Blu-ray with a device that has "the Soap Opera Effect" turned fully on. Before you watch the movie, you'll want to either turn it completely off, or use the lowest setting offered w/out choosing "off." Different models of TVs, both HD and 4K (& 8K, too) call it by different names. I think my Samsung 2013 55" HD set calls it "Clear Motion" or "Auto Motion." I don't even remember because I turned it off after watching about 2 movies that looked like very high quality video tape! It basically wrecks the cinematography of any film. Google your model, find out the setting for "Soap Opera Effect" and then go into your TV's settings and either turn it off or put it at the lowest setting w/out turning it off. Here's why: This effect adds fake data to the film itself. You are watching a digital simulation of a film, but not what the director intended for the film to look like. On the other hand, it being Super Bowl Sunday, the effect is great for sports because you can see everything that goes by so fast. So, it's fine to readjust it to particular purposes. But it ruins films. They end up looking like old-timey soap operas that were shot on tape for same-day broadcast in the days of broadcast TV. It is horrendous on real films, whether they were shot on film or digitally. Either way, it's basically defacing art. Yet virtually all sets ship with the setting turned "on," and at full force. If you want to really enjoy the film and other films, get rid of it. When I first got my set, it was actually giving me a headache! -------------------- Now, to the film. It's a standard Elvis movie, but the chemistry between the two of them really came across. They were VERY friendly toward one another at the time. {clears throat} And you can tell. So, that interaction puts VLV a cut above the standard run of Elvis movies. Watch and enjoy!
