A lot of people do not realize he kept groups of friends/family close, paying their bills, fulfilling a movie contract he hated losing out on a decade of making music. My favorite guitar picker and the only one to tell the Colonel to go to hell, was Jerry Reed. Elvis backed Jerry up because he knew they were good ol’ boys and loved Jerry’s take no sh*t. Hence 68’ comeback special “Guitarman” plus 4 other songs…Respect. The colonel should have been ousted right then…,

Exactly what I was thinking , he was a kind soul but the monster that became Elvis , aka his stage name , was too much for anyone to handle , they worked him to death , u try and sing and perform like the way he did night in and night out , it’s not sustainable, he put everything into his shows , and it seems like his schedule was too much

He was so Incredibly kind and beautiful ...when I watch this and see how he wanted to give the girl a gift that is so kind ...most celebrities today are just not like that..Elvis was rare and there will never be anyone like him! ...I wish I had been around then and got to meet him ..I feel every one who got that privilege was given a life long gift ...I feel like I have a little in common with him as I have the same birthdate and also s Twin ..so that's my way of feeling that little bit of connection...😊😊..rip mr Elvis beautiful man ....gone but never ever forgotten..❤😥

even near the end when he was physically and spiritually hurting, he still possessed a genuine inner warmth for humanity. that gesture for the girl was heartfelt and very tender. w/ all the baggage of his last years, there still remained a greatness of warmth inside the guy.

I have heard so many people say that they wished that this concert hadn't of been aired on CBS, but I am thankful for the last public appearance of Elvis. It proves that his fame still had not changed him. No matter how famous Elvis was he still treated everyone with respect. Notice how polite Elvis is to the little girl and he also made sure that the older girl didn't feel left out and invited her to be in the photo. Where the little girl gave him the medalon of life he wanted to make sure that she got a scarf. Elvis is still the best entertainer of all time. I listen to his music everyday. R.i.p. EP. You will always be loved and missed by your fans all over the world.

You are not alone my brother. I fell in love with him in 1963, when I heard Marie’s The Name( His Latest Flame). I still drop dead in my tracks anytime I hear the song no matter where I am or whom I’m with. I read every book that ever came out on him and know almost all there is to know about this man. Even his lover, Nick Adam’s and all the underaged girls he loved so dearly. Satinin was Elvis ‘first love’ you can believe that! Oh Yeah! They also kept Jessie Garin in a jar of formaldehyde under the bed and would take him with them when they went food shopping on Friday nights. They would put his jar on the hood of the car and charge people a quarter to see him. No, I just made that last part up, sorry.

I hate it that Elvis was so sick looking, sweating profusely, so much that a man needed to stand near him & wipe his sweat. He should have been taken to a hospital (rehab) and he should have gotten healthy, INSTEAD OF ALL THOSE VULTURES AROUND HIM, taking his $$$$ and depending on him for a salary...Elvis was a $$ machine for all these people, not a human being. Just leave the man alone let him rest in peace.

I don't think that Elvis looked that fat, and I also get tired of people judgeing him on his looks. He was ill but still able to sing with that beautiful voice. He took care of everyone but when he needed them where were they. His doctor gave him prescriptions because of the money just like his manager booking two shows a night in Vegas to support his gambling habit. Elvis probably did haft to have those pills to keep going and I am angry at all those who told all of his private life for money. You could tell how sad and lonely he was. The truth is that he had noone with him all those hours he lay dead on his bathroom floor all those hours. Even his girlfriend waiting until two in the evening to check on him. If someone would have cared enough to check on him he may have had a chance to saved. I know that God had mercy on him because Elvis was really hurting, lonely, and alone. R.i.p. Elvis. I know your life on earth was troubled and I will always love you, your kindness, and love for others.

Just read a bunch of comments on Elvis here. Some of y'all are either seem to be jealous of who this man was, and why he was the King. Elvis gave all the time, including his life. He knew during those movies he was losing his grip on his rock and roll, but never lost his charm, and the way you treat people, with respect. Led Zepp froze when he walked in the room and said "Where is this band that's keeping me from #1 on the charts?" Then spent 3 hours kicking it with them. The Beatles came to his house and just stared. He told them you boys gonna jam or stare at me all night? He was a one of a kind, very humble unique, talented man. On a constant search to heal his soul, but keep going. Too many moochers, and no one really getting him the help he needed like we all do at times. But, really? To the A-holes that come on here Saying (This guy is Evil, and dead, screw that guy)?? Your telling on yourself who needs their book shut. You cant exist talkin that crap to fans...You can, but just be hater's elsewhere...Peace
