If I am understanding the stories being related in this video correctly, Elvis received this badge from Gene on July 1, 1971 and Elvis lost the badge at the Holiday Inn in South Bend after his concert at Notre Dame on October 20, 1976. Elvis may have been sleeping with this badge under his pillow. WOW! Even if he was keeping the badge under the pillow when he slept, out of hundreds of badges, Elvis kept this was close to him after more than 5 years. In the Elvis world, 5 years is a long, long time for any material object to remain fresh and of value to Elvis. To think Elvis may have handled this particular badge on a daily basis... But even if not, for some reason, 5 years after he received this specific badge, Elvis brought it with him to South Bend. Great video!!!

The whole time I was watching these two guys talk about Elvis, I couldnt help but imagine Elvis in Heaven a smiling from ear to ear about them meeting over his badge. Things that Elvis had in different periods of his life , like the bike, the guitar, the school book, this badge , and the lives he touched ...all of which we would have never even known about if it wasnt for you Spa Guy.............. Elvis is still bringing ppl together 42 years after the fact. The majority of Elvis fans get what made him special and understand how truly important it is in how we treat ppl. Most are good ppl and keep his memory alive bc of the person he was. It’s moving to watch something where ppl can be relatable, happy and respectful. We hear nothing but negative from MSM, and everyday I believe more and more we need to personally promote nothing but good news and testimonies, and support good videos and sources like this. BC the masters of the world will never be about promoting what’s good, true and just. Good/Happiness brings ppl together, so of course evil spreads everything opposite to diminish strength, hope and morale. Inadvertently doing the Lord’s work Billy, by promoting positivity, inclusiveness and shining a light on what made Elvis so special....touched and blessed by God’s hands and raised to honor the Lord, and he never forgot. The love and feeling he had for his fellow man was from God.

Hi Billy, Love this! Don't know where to start with my thought process watching this video. While it was great that Tom Salva presented the badge to Gene Autry, but I saw his reaction when Tom Salva stated they found this badge under the pillow at the hotel Elvis was staying at that time. He looked crushed.... However, Tom did a great job of reiterating to Gene how important and special this badge was to Elvis.

Great video! I'm so happy Gene got to hold the badge again! I can't believe that Elvis left this behind in his room and how Tom acquired it.
