Creativity just vanished from musical industry
@theunknown45702 жыл бұрын
@@vaderyt7833 As a music historian. Around mid 90s. Major labels realized the general public would buy any audible works of music as long as the public relations machine could promotelooks and image above substance. Solving the problem of having to deal with multiple creative artist wanting their personal artistic creativity rights. The companies began packaging the same audible format. And signed people who would go along. Most that were signed were signed knowing they would only have a very small career. Possibly 1 or 2 hits would be enough to make the music labels money. And also put the artist in debt so they could be further controlled and owned. I have personally seen the music formats of country music and rock. Generally stay the same since late 90s. This topic is literally one of the top 3 ongoing topics that have captivated most of my life. I am saddened that music has become dulled down and visceral. My mom did not like Elvis as a boomer, so I started my musical life with the Beatles (makes little sense I know). As I look at this video historically, that sound, that stage presence. Amazing! Kids hearing this back in the day, brand new, it must have been mind blowing as an understatement. as someone who deeply appreciates the history, and music, wow! There have been many impersonators. But there is only one Elvis. There is only one Michael Jackson. And just a Justin Bieber too. What all great personalities have in common is their uniqueness. Here Justin Bieber is often compared to Elvis. I do not mind. But why? Both have their time, their own style. You can also like both. Why not? Elvis said a sentence in the Madison Square Gardens press conference that I think is the smartest sentence that you can say as an entertainer and as a human being because there is so much truth in it: "I really can't criticize anybody in the entertainment field. I think there's room for everybody. I hate to criticize another performer."

1956-I was 4 years old. Great music, burgers, shakes- Now it's lousy music and kale salads, although I admit eating healthily is a lot easier now and is the way to go. I was blessed to have my childhood in the 50's and 60's. It's getting mighty strange out there now.

🇿🇦 In 2017 Radio Jacaranda advertised a competition on the radio that anyone can record a video of themselves dancing like Elvis Presley. My deceased husband Petrus recorded a video of me dancing like Elvis Presley on this same song Blue Suede Shoes, and I sent it to Radio Jacaranda's WhatsApp. Since then in 2017, till now, I've never heard anything about that. After the so called competition, nobody talked about it, as of it never happened. If I remembered correctly it was in October 2017. Never ever will I trust South-Africa again with absolutely nothing. And Radio Jacaranda played together with the corrupts. Thank you Radio Jacaranda. 🙏🏻

I love the raw sound of live singing in the 50's when they didn't lip sync to pre recorded music.

So that guitar is plugged in where? (wirelessly 🤷🏼♂️🤣) in the 50s. Unfortunately sweetheart we all love the king I’ve got a tattoo but this is where it was all about image and show not performance, the band behind the curtain is playing the song, do ya even see a microphone 🎙 anywhere 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ Sad but true cos I promise you there’s no Bluetooth mic or pickups in sight (it’s completely lip sync)

When singers and musicians REALLY had to rely on their talent - in contrast to the vast majority of modern so called musicians... Old school rock & roll will always be the best! I play loads of this music for my toddler too
