So you left us hanging on whether Jean's sister appears on camera in the next segment and if her family knew Elvis had a crush on Jean?!? And did Ted purchase the book?!? Do we think Elvis would have been interested enough in Old World History to read this book perhaps beyond the assigned reading? Or did the teacher assign the entire book, not just lessons from it, so we know Elvis read it all? Is there any content in the book which you think would have stood out to a young Elvis? In a world with no TV or video games and where even books could be scarce, textbooks could have been very important to a developing Elvis as one of the very few ways in which he experienced the world outside of Tupelo. You know Elvis loved books. His mom took him at a young age and hot him a library card. That had to be an amazing thing for Elvis to be able to check out books. In his older years he loved books. Took lots of books on tour especially his bible. Gave alot of books away. Had a book with him when he passed on. Elvis was very smart and loved learning about lots of different things. I believe he read the heck out of that old history book. That's what I believe.
