I was watching TCM tonight and saw the Elvis concert documentary where Elvis sings this song. It reminded me of what happened to me 35 years ago. August 16, 1977 came and I received a call from Memphis,TN. A man called to offer me a new job with a promotion in Memphis. I asked if I could call him back the next day after I talked to my wife and he said o.k. I got in my car and turned on the radio. That's when I heard the news that Elvis died. We went to Memphis and my life changed for ever more.

I love him. He loved God, his Mama and really loved helping people. I think I've seen all of his movies. My Daddy and my Husband always loved him. He seemed to calm people and make them forget their problems. Wow , tears are coming to my eyes totally unexpected. He never acted conceited or stuck up.
