I went to Tennessee last year and got to visit Graceland. I had an amazing time and the graves of Elvis and his family were so so beautiful. May they all be resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus ❤️

A lot of people do not know that to get to Graceland you have to ride through the hood. It's funny to see tourists walk down Elvis Presley Blvd like what the hell. Lol

I was there in the 80s with a former friend of the family. She took a video of me talking with Elvis' uncle Vester. Almost like an interview. I still have the video. He LOVED to talk and had quite the Memphis accent. Sweet man. He passed away 2-3 years after Elvis. It was pretty amazing to be standing there actually talking to a relative of Elvis'. Afterwards, on to Nashville.

I have been to Graceland 3 times and took family and friends. It is not exactly like in was back then in 1977 and 1978. For one thing the piano in the living room area was plated in gold and was given to Elvis by Priscilla. I didn't see it on this tour. I was surprised the tour did not show the other rooms that is seen on the tour we went on. I did enjoy the tour here though and am a life long Elvis fan. I met him in 1956 and spent 3 hours with him when I was only 14. He was appearing along with others at the FT HOMER HESTERLY ARMORY in Tampa, FL. Elvis was just getting started with his career and was appearing with a lot of other singers that day and had to wait outside in a fenced area until it was his time to perform. He had that special magic some people have and it was great meeting him. He was very shy and definitely a southern gentlemen. Loved his voice and him. You just felt like he was part of the family. Like so many other people I was devastated when he passed.

Me too Allan. I am a life long fan. Elvis died way too young. I am older so I am seeing many of my heros leave us. This brought a tear to my eye as well. He was a magnetic person. For some reason God gave Elvis 10 times the charisma of a normal person. He spent his entire life trying to figure out why, and how to deal with it. He was a phenomenon in the 70's

+Megan McNasby My father was from Liverpool and though he certainly liked the Beatles, Elvis was the performer who made the biggest impact on him. On August 16, 1977 my dad had gone out to a mall and bought the Moody Blue album and when he got in the car to drive home he turned on the radio and they were announcing that Elvis had died. I was only ten years old and was spending the month of August with my mom at my grandparent's cottage and my dad called us that night and was really taking the news very hard. That evening, I watched the network affiliate from Watertown NY carrying live coverage of the white limousine procession from Graceland. Then, as a kind of tribute I got an old acoustic guitar that had belonged to my grandmother's brother who had died in world war 2 and I put on an Elvis' greatest hits album we had at the cottage and I would strum along to parts of some of the songs. When I got home from the cottage and back to our house, my dad had bought a couple of Elvis posters and put them up on the wall. It was, and still is so sad that he left his family and all of us so soon. God bless you Elvis.

We toured Graceland about 2 years ago and enjoyed it very much. We opted to go with iPad and Earphone tour and it was nice....a lot of information for each room. However, you kinda get tired of listening and wearing the earphones though and after a while, we just stopped and looked. You can go at your own pace too. I know they have reasons for not letting the public visit the upstairs and some of the other rooms, but those were the one's I wanted to see the most. A lot of places have that though....like castles in Europe and the Biltmore House in Asheville. Not sure anyone is interested in Memphis other than seeing Graceland, but we also got the tour for Beal Street and the downtown area, Sun Records and more. The tickets included Graceland and was a good price, even included our lunch. While there we also went to the Bass Pro Shop! I have to tell you, I have never seen one store that big and so very beautiful and interesting. I would go back to Memphis just to visit it again. If you are there, take a look, you won't be disappointed. We had a great trip to Memphis and I would love to do it all over again. Hope anyone that goes has a great time.

I've been to Graceland in the early year's before it became this huge attraction and it wasn't commercialized then You walked up the driveway and I had the luck to meet Elvis's uncle Vestor (Vernon's brother married to Elvis's mom Gladys's sister Clettes) I spent about 10 minutes talking to him about Graceland, he was a very nice man who was both friendly and after all the year's remained humble. I'm happy I went in those days and really wouldn't want to go there now, although, I love Graceland and Elvis with all my heart Elvis is a Musical Icon and will be remembered for his music, generosity, as well as being "THE KING OF ROCK & ROLL"

One has to wonder how much of this Elvis would have changed if he had lived longer. Now we have a fantastic slice of 70s style and decor preserved forever, hopefully. My favourite room in this place is his kitchen actually, though the jungle room/den is pretty awesome too. I also, absolutely, love the stain glass in the entrance going into his music room. Not crazy about the white furnishings, but that's because of how much it's overdone today. My Best. Out.

Thank goodness for these videos....they save me alot of money in travelling expenses and admission fees. While I liked Elvis's early RCA hits (still do) I don't idolize the guy. He was just a man who put his pants on the same way I do. But when it came to singing no one could touch him. He entertained millions with his TV shows and concerts. I saw him in Miami once......great concert.....can't remember if he was doing his goofy karate moves then. He had a unique life that's for sure but I could not stand having all those guys hanging around 24 hours a day and people constantly asking for autographs and snapping pictures. That would drive me crazy. Same for the Beatles only it was 4 times worse !! Wouldn't it have been a hoot if Elvis and The Beatles had recorded together......singing each other's hits? That would have been something.

I'm from the uk I went to graceland in 2000 with my friend and we had a fantastic time, there's so much more to see than what they've shown you here but it was amazing...we even signed the wall outside and visited the lisa marie ...we stopped in a hotel opposite called the heartbreak hotel...not sure if its still there...
