I really got lucky in July of 1975 when I met Elvis in a gas station in Memphis! We talked for 35 minutes about movies, music, guns, cars and motorcycles. What a fantastic person...funny, friendly and very personable. His new Eldorado would not start after getting gas....what a break for me!

In 1957, when I was 8 years-old, I went to our local theater to see 'Jailhouse Rock', and I was hooked!!! Loved Elvis, and never missed anything about him since then! I remember reading a book about Elvis written by his hairstylist, Larry Geller, and he wrote that when the Beatles visited Elvis in California, they just sat on the floor and stared at Elvis! Enough to make Elvis flash that famous grin of his, and try to strike up a conversation with the four lads from Liverpool. The Beatles were at the top of their game at the time, but they had to take a backseat to "The King".
