I've seen those photos of Elvis several times and that is so exciting that you and Trey got to reenact those poses . I love knowing that Gladys was still alive at that time when Elvis had those photos made too . Thank you Pete for letting Spa Guy and Trey Miller film this video on top of the Knickerbocker . Love it !!

I bet EP would find it unbelievable that people would be climbing up on ledges 63 years later to sit where he sat
@n8trsho5 жыл бұрын
He was already famous, but when he was on that ledge, he looks like he was thinking about what was to come. I've always felt he knew he was destined for giant things and unbelievable fame. Moments like the one captured here really put that in perspective. Sure, he was posing...but he also knew the world below him was his.

Hey Billy you knocked it out of the park again. I just want to let you know what a small world we live in. My son is a realtor in Coral gables, Florida. And he showed a client a commercial property for lease and it turns out she worked for Elvis on his airplane the Lisa Marie. She Gave my son some prints of the airplane that do not have the plastic coverings on the furniture. I was ecstatic to here this. My son is only 24 he knows who Elvis was, but he really doesn’t Comprehend the impact Elvis Had on a lot of people. I will get back to you on her name, She even showed him her TCB necklace. I haven’t had the time yet to meet her but I’m going see if she’s willing to have lunch with me, My son said she spoke very highly of Elvis.

Great pieces of the Elvis puzzle captured by SG & Mr T. Man,, Elvis lived a LOT! It's that simple. Said it before ,Elvis lived more in 42 years on Earth than 99% of people that live to be 100+. Think'n if Mr T keeps practice'n he can eventually be an Elvis double with that pose'n style he's got going on,on top of The Knickerbocker. :) Thanks again.

Pretty cool. I think this is around the same time Elvis did his first Ed Sullivan Show. When the guest host introduced Elvis he says off to Hollywood we go. Elvis's second song is from the movie he's been filming. Love Me Tender

Very cool information, my grandmother lived on Camrose, one of the twisty roads, but I don't remember much during that time, it was actually more exciting to go to the Broadway to shop and have lunch. I wish I had been older and more awhare of what was going on, it was 1962, thanks for this. Recreating this kind of makes those days come alive again.

BRAVO👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 This is so awesome. I’ve seen those pictures but didn’t know they were taken at the Knickerbocker. I keep bringing up Gene Smith because he wrote that Elvis wanted to show that he could be a serious actor & was shouting “I’m going to jump” & he drew a crowd down below. Needless to say the police showed up. They ran back to their room & pretended they were sleeping and had no idea what was going on. Elvis could be quite mischievous. (my nana would say, “being an imp” )

Thanks to yous Billy & Trey ( you make a good team. ) & also to Pete. Pete may you know the God of the Old & New Testament loves you. Merry Christmas 2019. In Him is complete TRUTH. You are a great sport! As you say you normally do not take Elvis fans on tour but you made an exception with Billy & Trey. They came across as trustworthy friendly sincere ....good vibs. And this 2nd part is so so fantastic !!! Though dark it is still 5 stars out of 5 ...honestly !!!! After all these years those metal braces / angles of support are still in place. Wow!!!! Guess they are well maintained /painted ...& where the phone box was ...still markings. Wow! And the exact place where Elvis sat on that wall. Imagine how many vids ya could make if it was at Graceland. Spa Guy..was here at Graceland..at this spot. Part 1 to 10000.... But Elvis is so special ( not a god of course or idol of worship ) to his fans because of his character personality rags to riches to his giving / generous nature, his humour, his happy good sad times, his victories, his failings & God's grace...his teaming with the Col. not a perfect manager but a manager that made more good choices than bad ones...Col. wanted the big band...along with Elvis's wishes of his musicians & a lot of back up singers...( cost lots of bucks ) plus Col. spent tons of money on billboards etc...though not needed but he wanted the city to know the biggest entertainer of all time is coming !!! Plus the Elvis costumes ...plus yes to carry on ..over 30 movies the how many Elvis great songs from gospel rock blues country ...& a man who loved people & song & music....a man who knew the peak mountain top of joy & seen him in the valley in life's downs...we seen him in health to sickly...we seen the very good tv specials.....& God wink had it set up to have the final Elvis tv special made on his last tour. And the Elvis tv special of 1977 is so enjoyable. & we see Elvis giving his ALL even though he was weak & going to die literally weeks after the filming. God had the timing of that tv special planned because He knew Elvis would be in heaven on Aug 16th /77. This is why we fans get excited to where Elvis was in his early to mid & end of his ministry !!! Yes I call Elvis career a ministry !!! When I listen to his songs or watch his movies or study his life it is an uplifting feeling. We are all special but Elvis was extra super dopper special. Sorry for long post. But yes these above reasons & many more I have no idea about are why vids like this are so enjoyable. Elvis could have become the most greedy spoiled nose in the air brat with his fame. & $$$$ but he keep the faith stayed humble & loving. He loved his fans to the end & we fans are loving him to our end.

At exactly 13:36 into this video you say " this bolt " so look at the Elvis photo - the bolt is STILL actually in the same POSITION it was in August 1956 which is sort of standing on it's pointy side and also have a close look at the lower right cross bar which still has the dis- coloration it had back in August 1956 - The structure has not moved or faded in all that time !

Hi, setting on a parapet is very dangerous, here in Canada a individual can't access a roof without a fall arrested course completed, we complete a two day course to no the difference , just check on Goggle (Fall arrest training). In Elvis time this education wasn't available, I guess I'm trying to say leave a message to be awear of your surroundings when u take it upon yourself to sit near the edge of a roof, in my home town to individuals fell to there death not being tied of dunning the last few weeks of 12 story blogs being constructed. Check Vocm .com for the news story Fortis bldg man falls to death. Kieran
