@marybrant9586 , I don't think him being married to that gold digger had anything to do with it. The husband's allowing their wives to get kissed by Elvis was something special and I think it has to do with the husband's loving and trusting their wives enough , as well as getting to reap the benefits later.

I feel like Elvis is probably the only person that you can kiss and still get away with it. If it were anyone else, this would be kind of creepy. But there's just something about that man.

Elvis was a star, the GOAT, to be right, always to touch. He loved his fans, they made him big, he never forget that. The kisses are a harmless "thank you" from Elvis and the girls and wifes have taken it as a souvenir and and memory for their lifetimes.

I can't tell you how much i love and miss him, there is not a day that goes by that i don't think of him and all the memories we made in 10 short years, his death knocked the wind out of me i have never been the same since, Elvis was the big brother i never had. He is also my guardian angel. Graceland is my go to place when it get's to hard to live w/o my friend i go there and walk around and remember Elvis and all the beautiful times we had together. He was the only person in my life that understood me and cared about my feelings and opinions. What it comes down to is we both needed a true friend and we were that for each other. Awesome reaction. God bless you and your family from the one and only Memphis Tn. 😭Elvis told me all the time you should always know where you stand with people now i know what he meant. #forevermyking #forevermysexyjello

In another Love Me Tender clip from this concert movie Elvis says “Tough job man ….”. And in a very, very early radio interview in 1955, Elvis complimented the interviewer’s wife with a loud “Woo!”. The reporter said “Wow, my wife just got woo’ed by Elvis”. So even back then Elvis paying attention to your wife or girlfriend was more than okay. It was celebrated.

Elvis really loved his fans. There is no other artist who has had such loving contact with his fans as Elvis Presley. Elvis always made time for his fans and met many of them personally. Elvis himself once said: "I need contact with my fans because I really love them!"

This was a huge hit for him when he was really young and it was a classic and a standard by then. So I can kind of see how this would happen. Keep in mind it when he was much younger like 20 years old, and just starting to break in such a huge way, he was in a way slightly traumatized by the fact that at those venues which were outdoor festivals and other just really large but common kinds of venues, there were a few times where when he would leave the stage and they would head out back, women would just mob him and literally start tearing his clothes off. Can you imagine how frightening that would actually be in real life. Amazing.

When the single of his record” love me Tender” was released in 1956 it was the first ever single to make 1 million sales. The film of the same name is where Elvis made his acting debut. In his concerts, he often ended with this song so audiences knew he would be “ leaving the building” straight after. Elvis Never did encores👌💕🕺

I've heard a couple men say they would have given their wive's a free pass if she had the opportunity to sleep with Elvis. That's extreme but the point is that there was something about Elvis that was so different from anyone before or since that made men OK with an innocent kiss at a concert. Men loved him just as much as women did. In the beginning of his career males were jealous and didn't like him... but that changed at some point. Younger generations today who weren't alive back then could not possibly understand just how huge he was and how beloved and respected he was by his fans and everyone who met or worked for him. He was one of a kind, loved by young and old alike worldwide. You'd be hard pressed to find anywhere In the world where people didn't know who Elvis was... except maybe that one island with a tribe of cannonballs that kills every man who shows up at their shores. Seriously. Go deep into the Amazon forest and tribes there have heard of Elvis. And this was long before the internet existed and he never performed outside of the country (except in Canada when he was starting out). Even famous movie stars, entertainers and musicians were in awe of him. I've heard many hetero men including stars who have publically declared they weren't ashamed to say that in person he was the most beautiful man they'd ever seen... not just handsome but beautiful! Better looking in person... can you imagine? And loaded with charisma... people in the entertainment field who worked around stars all the time have said that many had charisma, but Elvis had more charisma than all of them combined! On top of that, or in spite of that, he was friendly, polite and down to earth with everyone. I've heard many people say they didn't care for Elvis until they met him or went to a concert and then they became big fans. You're only seeing a tiny snapshot of Elvis without the benefit of having been alive when Elvis was still here and was the most famous man on earth. There's no one who compares to Elvis. He crossed all barriers (age, race, genres). He's in 5 major music Halls of Fame (and many lesser ones as well as Walks of Fame). There was and is still no one like him. The closest second might be Michael Jackson but even he wasn't close to the stratosphere that Elvis inhabited. So when Elvis kissed wives and girlfriends, most men weren't jealous but happy for their wives to have that once in a lifetime experience of being kissed by Elvis.

Watch how they offer their grandchildren to Elvis for a kiss. Men were urging their wives to go up for a kiss, it would put them in the best mood EVER & they'd be thanking them for the rest of their lives. Elvis was so funny and fun to watch. This was just a ways of giving his fans some love back. The fans made him. There is a part where he says to one woman "you wanna get serious or wait a bit?" Before he got the words out she'd pulled him down for a snog. Who could blame her? He'd be 89 now and I'd pull him close for a taste of his cute lips. That voice, that humour, generosity and talent... 🔥

FYI. The video you reacted to on Elvis Last Days had a lot of inaccurate info. One do them was that he was deeply into the drugs in the ‘60s. Not true. You had said that he must have then been drugged uo in those ‘60s videos of him. That is not true. The drug problem started to really affect him for the last 2 years of his life. There is still a lot of wrong info out there about him.
