@@michaelivey1087 I'm not certain but I think he went to visit one of his teachers after he made it big. Don't know whether she was his music teacher or not. Yes the conversation would be very polite because he was a very polite person.

I think, and I am no mind-reading time-traveler, she heard something in his vocals that disturbed her and maybe even angered her. Even at 13 or 14, he already was making any listener say "Is he? Is he?" Those barriers were not to be crossed in those times in the south. As a child, Elvis had no idea what irritated that music teacher, but when he was almost grown and that record came out, he knew exactly what it was. And he discovered that he could shake up the world if he wanted to. He decided he wanted to.

There are a lot of impersonators out there... and a few of them are pretty darn close - some, spot-on! -not only to the voice but the movements the looks, the stage gyrations, and subtle gestures.... as though they are Elvis reincarnated! Check out some of the videos on KZbin: Dean Z. Doug Church, Chris Connor, Tony Roi, Ben Portsmouth, Shawnn Klush, Moses Snow, Brandon Bennett... They do capture Presley's charisma and stage personality and they're all great! There are many more on the list, but,, you can get the idea from what I've posted here!

Gotta Love Elvis' Humor!! Elvis onstage 1969 Las Vegas International Hotel! And this, I'm sure, he probably had an idea of what he would say onstage but certainly all unrehearsed! The only thing he rehearsed were his songs. And his moves, were also unrehearsed. Sure in rehearsals he moved around but he never practiced over and over his moves, he just went out onstage and did what he felt in his heart & soul! How the music moved him!! That's what made Elvis truly unpredictable and why ya wanted to see him in concerts! And his humor was funny & edgy for the time but never disrespectful. Elvis was truly a wonderful all around performer who had a God Given talent & beautiful voice that he shared with the world!! This is why singers, groups, entertainers etc to this day, study Elvis. Elvis is the KING for a reason!!👑 Thank You for creating this wonderful gem! Absolutely LOVE it!! Absolutely LOVE ELVIS Always and Forever and EVER!! Hey, could you please create a video from his 1969 hysterically funny, 'Are You Lonesome Tonight?' Since there isn't any known footage from it. I'm sure it would be another hit for you! Elvis said if he were to write a book about himself it would be called, Through My Eyes!! Well, this wonderful lighthearted clip from Elvis onstage at Vegas International in 1969, nails it! So folks if you want to hear more, then search Elvis' live concerts in 1969. The true beginning of his comeback before live audiences. There is very little actual footage unfortunately, although thanks to fans sneaking in their their movie cameras fortunately there is some footage! Being this was Elvis back onstage, perhaps to him, audio was enough in case he bombed. If a success, than it could be released on albums. We didn't have personal machines to watch videos on VCR or BETA (remember those? LoL) so I think ol Colonel thought the financial practicality would be lets wait & see. Remember, in 1956, Elvis wasn't a hit in Vegas. So you can understand why Elvis & others in his group had reservations as to whether he would make it. Elvis was also supposed to be first to open the International Hotel but he bowed out & let Barbra Streisand to go first. They wanted the audio sound to work out.
