He loved his fans so much. He never wanted to disappoint them because he knew how much they loved him and how much he was indebted to them. He was so very humble.

Elvis Presley is acknowledged as the greatest live entertainer ever and yet he never needed any light shows or back up dancers, the only people on stage were musicians and singers and THE MAN.

There was a story that elvis was sick (maybe flu can't remember but a throat problem) they couldn't find him before the show.when they found him he was alone praying supposedly asking God to help him perform well for his fans.

Beverly Sanders I was sitting with Vernon Presley as his guest that evening and he told me that Elvis was sick that evening with flu and a temperature. Vernon seemed a little tense when Elvis started moving about with such gusto because of his throat and fever.

AWESOME! That dude dancing was Lionel Hudson. He worked for RCA Records. He and Elvis actually became friends. He gave wonderful interview years ago about some insightful conversations he and Elvis had. Coolest thing was his story about how Elvis literally changed his whole life and he was able to retire early because of Elvis. He said one night EP gave him a huge wad of cash and told him to go enjoy himself. Lionel went down to the casino and just got lucky. He admitted because all the money was a gift from Elvis and since he wasn't playing with his own money he just threw all the odds on the table ....won $22,000 in the span of 2 hours. ($22,000 back then would be about $150,000 today in 2019) He said back then he never told a lot of people about that but it was because of that Lionel said he was able to go into early retirement. Talked about how much he and his family had a lot of respect for Elvis. I guess so. Elvis made him rich LOL. Nah, But it obviously was mostly because he just thought Elvis was a good person Edit - I just had a funny thought .....the way he's dancing in this video is the way some people act when they hit it big in the casino. But this video footage was shot before he won all that money. Can you imagine the type of dancing he was doing that night in the casino? HaHa

Once the hips started swivelling, you always KNEW he was about to “hit the afterburners” & crank up the intensity a million notches 🔥✊️✊️✊️🔥 The voice alone was usually the “trigger” but damnnn..... The swivelling of the hips was a case of “Houston, we have cleared the tower!!!” & he would then take you on the ride of your life ✊️😎👍 There always was & always be only ONE TRUE KING...... @teresag76894 жыл бұрын
in 1970 the best Elvis ever!!! Absolutely! Shape, energy, voice....Unfortunately Vegas blew him up ... For me the best Elvis starts in 68 and reaches the high point in 70. After that it was in 73, in Hawaii, where he came up again in great shape, not with so much energy but with an even more powerful voice.
@brandonvandine3104 жыл бұрын
This song I think just as much as jailhouse rock shows that elvis could still rock and roll in the 70s like the 50s this is a great and fun and underrated song. Elvis sounded great. I'm impressed that you chose this song. So great choice and great taste
@MrRkm504 жыл бұрын
He was doing 2 shows a day during his Vegas Runs, One at 3:00 and One At Midnight. The jumpsuits he wore were made of wool and some (with the the rinestones weighed up to 35 pounds not counting the capes. Was luck enough to see him once in concert in 1973 and it was amazing. At the end threw one of his rings out to the crowd. There will never be another Elvis.
