God I so wish Elvis was a live today what I’d give to have seen him sing RIP beautiful Elvis 💙👑💙👑
If I may add, this performance, in this setting, was Elvis at his everyday best! He would routinely get friends and/or band mates/back-up singers together for hours after concerts to just sing together. They say gospel was his favorite to sing. The man sang so much, but among the many health problems he developed over time, his voice failing him never happened. In fact, his voice only got more rich, deep and powerful as time went on.
@jimcowan87705 жыл бұрын
RGee 805 Absolutely Correct! E Loved Gospel Music! I knew his bass singer JD Sumner,. He told me after shows E would be wound up & would call him & Jake Hess,. The Blackwood Bro., whoever was in town to come over & they’d get around his piano & sing until the Wee hours! Haha! 😂. Elvis was a night owl! Ha! Well, insomnia too, but I think somewhat of a night owl!

Can I just say something here. I'm an Elvis fan for decades and I've seen people's atitude towards him, his music and his legacy in all kinds of shades. From a laughable joke to a racist. From just a flat image to indepth knowlegde of what he really was and what his impact has been on popular western culture. What frustrated me the most was that some people blamed him for stealing black men's music. Because I knew that was the most far from the truth as anything. Elvis wás music. This young strange kid from the fifties who was so much ahead of his time and who opened up the doors for all of them who came after him didn't steal anything. He loved music. Any music. He knew it all. Gospel, Rythm 'n blues, Country. And in this restless kid this was all mixed into a delight blend of a total new sound, feel and look that is felt even to this day. He was not a racist. He was a melting pot in wich all of it came together. Black and white. To see you, Mister Jamal regognize this very fact and acknowledge the giant force Elvis was is heart warming to see. Finally Elvis is done justice. Thank you, Thank you very much.

I'm only 31 years old and I grew up listening to Elvis among other generes of music and artists from different eras since I was little. I remember just dancing along and singinging imagining what it would have been like to be at one of his shows seeing him perform. But fpr those of us who never got to see Elvis he left us with an amazing gift his voice, music and talent. Until this day his legacy lives on. I just hope that younger generations get into this because music is not like this to day. There's only one Elvis no one like him. R.I.P Elvis. Thank you for bringing so much happiness to the world!
