AMAAAZZZIINNGG! I've seen it numerous times & will see it 1,000 more times. No one did anything like this Man did & no one ever will; all he needed was himself, his fantabulous musicians & backups -- no laser lights & smoke.

Hi James, just a few suggestions for you to react to if you already haven't. I have been a fan since the age of 9 due to my late Dad who always played his Elvis LP's to wake us up in the morning so as you can imagine I have loads of suggestions ranging from the young Rock n Roll Elvis , R n B, County, Easy Listening and of course My Favourite Gospels ( Did you know he could even Yogal, which you can find on U Tube) My suggestions would be, Surrender, his version of Gentle On My Mind and A Gospel one called I Come To The Garden Alone. Off course this is just a taste, the list is endless. I love seeing your reactions to Elvis it is so refreshing to see someone who really appreciates him and what he stood for😊😘🤗😍🤓X X X

I don’t know who did the original. It was a fun song he did rather often in Vegas. Before every Vegas performance Elvis was nervous, and reminded the band and singers to not mess up, because it was the 1st time many fans was seeing the show. He was a perfectionist and knew how he wanted to perform each song.

This started my day off. I didn't want to get up this morning but this got me going. Suspicious Minds, Polk Salad Annie n Patch It Up will get you moving. You know I'm a great fan of Elvis. Charlie told me this song EP liked performing to. If you can find sng Fever 1973 Aloha concert ( the one with him wearing a red n white lei, red scarf n yellow lei) the rehearsal show was not as good as this performance ( broadcasted show) just my opinion) The girls went crazy when he sang n moved on stage n I was one of those girls. I even thru him a kiss. Lol He loved teasing his fans n Charlie said he had a hard time not to laugh at himself. His band was the best. Ronnie Tutt was the best drummer. Thank you for brightening up my day as I had to put my sweet horse down n guess what his name was not Elvis but my friend Charlie. I think your channel is my favorite. Keep the videos coming ni think I told you that Elvis would say "my boy, my boy great job"

Thanks so much for playing my request, James! Fun reaction! The song was written by Eddie Rabbit and Rory Bourke, and Elvis was the original artist in 1970. I was surprised to learn that it's only been covered six times -- once in 1976 and five times in the 2000s. BTW, ❤️ your new Elvis cup.

Love this! And your reaction! His outfit with the fringe tugs at my heart as fringe was popular at that time. We all had fringed items, even if it was just a handbag. Also, and I’ve not found a video and only a picture or two of him performing. He had an outfit that had super long fringe on the underside of the sleeves. Super long and decorated with beads at the ends. I believe, if I remember correctly, (although I could be mistaken, that he only wore it once. Because the beads kept smacking into his face as he performed. 😂 😊

he did only wear it once; don't know whose idea it was to do this but it wasn't very smart, knowing how he "bounced" all over the place; i'm surprised he actually wore it at all

The version from the actual film, That's the Way It Is (TTWII) is a little more polished but this ending is so cool. I think this song was released as a B side to a beautiful song from the TTWII album, How the Web Was Woven. Not a well-known song. He did a studio version but I think it lends itself better to these live versions. Great reaction as always x

Trish F: In checking to see if Elvis was the first artist to record "Patch It Up", I learned that he was and that it was the B-side to "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me". I agree, however, that "How the Web Was Woven" is a beautiful song. Wishing you a wonderful day, Trish.

@@MARY-ow5vp That's strange. It pops up for me. Try: ELVIS Patch It Up [Fantastic Finish] - KZbin. The only other one I could find with this ending is: Elvis Presley - Patch It Up - 10 August 1970 OS - First Time performing live - Re-edited with RCA audio (3:45). Good luck.

Hi James: i don't know if you will look at your comments from "If I Can Dream" on April 19, 2021 as it is some time ago so sorry if i'll be repeating myself; it concerns peoples comments (all over the web) regarding this song that Elvis (1) wrote this song, (2) he "demanded" from Parker that he do the song & (3) that he "collapsed" on the floor w-grief; maybe you saw the video interview regarding the making of the '68 special?? if not, you can go to "Gates of Graceland: Secrets of the '68 Special" at kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4vYh5SIf7-qmbs & at 22:00 is the story of how "If I Can Dream" came to be, including Elvis on the floor, & his comment to Parker which was, i'd like to give it a shot (not demanding); thanks for taking time to read this & thanks once again for your wonderful comment about Elvis.
