Elvis Presley's Graceland Mansion is at the center of a court fight, but the singer's family calls it a scam. The popular tourist attraction in Tennessee appears to be headed for a foreclosure auction later this week. Elvis' granddaughter, actor Riley Keough, is fighting back with a lawsuit, claiming fraud.

3.8 million was the loan amount in 2018. Depending on the interest rate and with compound interest if she was not making any payments, that could be 25 to 30 million today.

The case has less than Zero chance to win. Memphis would never allow it. If factual EPEs parent company would pay, 3.8 million is pocket change to them.

@@USNBLUE The reason it wasn't seized immediately is why the default process is in place. I'm not sure about TN law, but I would think that the estate of LMP would have the opportunity to continue payments on the loan, or to pay it off before the loan acceleration process (to foreclosure) began.

The house itself and the property is owned by the family. If Lisa used Graceland as collateral for the loan, it could be foreclosed on by the lender if the loan was not paid off. But it is all a fraud. She never took out a loan. The notary states that she didn’t sign the document. This has happened to other property holders, but how this person thought they could steal Graceland is beyond me. Putting an ad in the Memphis newspaper to announce the auction was going to be noticed by everyone in Memphis. It was not just going to slip through the cracks like it would with a regular home owner. It just all blows my mind. I am hoping criminal charges will be pressed against the person/ persons that attempted this fraud.
