Spy Guy I just saw the video of the barracks and this is so cool that this was saved and not torn down. I from Oklahoma and will definitely check this out, saving our America history, I know for a fact that in spruce Canyon they torn down an Army base in and near Colville, Washington. I love America and this is totally American and we need this, can't wait to hear the teacher video and I'm thanking the school kids right now for what they did to help save this iconic moment of American history with it's most famous soldier. New House speaker, let Freedom ring and return to America. 🎉⚡❤💜👑⭐🙏👍

Thanks for the video Spa Guy. I grew up in the Fort Smith area and I have been waiting for this video! Several of the barracks and other building were destroyed in a large fire in the early 2000's. It is really a cool place and you showed a picture from the movie A Soldier's Story. Other movies were filmed there as well including Biloxi Blues and Tuskegee Airmen. If you drove to Fort Smith, you should stop in Russellville for a meal at The Old South. According to the owner, Elvis ate there!

Mr. Spa. Guy. Fantastic video. I had seen a documentary of some kind, probably 25-30 yrs ago after Ft Chaffe had closed, and this building, if memory serves me correctly, was literally in a shamble. I always get excited when I see you've posted another video, and this one is a good reason why. The way you mix the old with the new, the "now and then" aspect is just awesome, and even a old fool like me can follow along , and even learn a little something. On top of that, the way you correspond with others is always with such kindness and respect, and I just can't get enough. Thank you sincerely for everything you do, and every thing you share Billy. Your the best in the business 👊

Spa Guy, I loved this, and it meant a lot! Yes, it is the most famous haircut, and glad his hair on the top was not cut real short. Wonderful the school saved the barbershop! It is very interesting to see (in seeing the old barber chairs and hair tonic bottles). Wonderful the building is white, pics of ELVIS, and making it a historical site. (My great-uncle had a small barbershop where my Daddy was from, during that time, and reminded me of his barbershop some.)

Hi Spa Guy, I was actually only thinking about this place a month ago wondering whatever happened to the place where Elvis had his haircut? I thought to myself that through the years I'll bet its another place that has been knocked down. I'm really pleased that its preserved and the attention to detail is right there. Is the original barber chair in this museum? I remember a barber chair being sold at auction a few years ago, and Graceland bought it. It was on display here at the 02 Elvis Exhibition in 2015. I saw it took photos it looked like the original chair from back in the day.

I was shocked to discover when interviewing my great uncle (I was doing genealogy), when I asked about his military service, he offhandedly mentioned he was in Elvis’ unit in Germany. He said he acted just like any other soldier, the only thing that brought attention to him was some people having to carry bags full of fanmail lol (I can’t remember if he said it was fellow comrades)

I was sent to Fort Chaffee,Arkansas Mar Of 1959 for basic training, I remenber getting my hair cut at that barber shop and the barber that was cutting my hair was telling me about Elvis getting his hair cut there I was only 17 years old and was not a fan of Elvis at time. I was in Company E Fourth Battalion , Brigadier General William C. Bullock was our Commanding General. Fort Chaffee was created in 1941 on 73,000 acre
