When Elvis’s mother died, he was stationed in Germany & turned to the Catholic chaplain on base for counsel. That chaplain was Monsignor Thaddeus Malinowski (who my family personally knew) & who later became a Brigadier General. Father Malinowski wrote about his interactions with Elvis during their military tenure in his book, “For God and Country” which includes photos of him & Elvis. Father had said that Elvis was deeply depressed about losing his mom & became very respectful of the Catholic religion due to the spiritual comfort given to him by Fr. Malinowski (who died at 97 yrs old just 5 yrs ago & buried in Stamford, CT.)

Wow be great to have a true intercessor friend .only one I found true her name is miss marija scicluna ,a single lady teacher since 5yrs old I know her a treasure, like a mother she loved me still to this day and her I cannot help so I dearly pray that she be cared for till the end I should not be ever bitter ever I hate bitter jakky and also yo love is enough joy but it gives me an upset stomach which I do not suffer with indigestion but many I find they do think the same about me too that this is awful world relationships as evry human person wants wings free spirit of hod enlightenment

You missed an important fact. Elvis was not a catholic but befriended Hector Bolduc while in the army and who later became Fr. Bolduc. They were friends and who was influential on Elvis singing Ave Maria.

The Hail Mary IS NOT a prayer to Mary it is a request for the intercession of Mary with her divine son Jesus. The phrase of the Hail Mary contains the words to her as follows: Hail Mary full of grace PRAY FOR US SINNERS..... "Pray for us sinners" is not praying to Mary to do something we want it is a prayer asking for her to pray FOR us to her son Jesus. It is intercessory in nature as when Mary implied to Jesus that the hapless wedding couple had run out of wine. Jesus answered Mary by making more wine for the wedding ceremony. So that is what is in the bible. It is a precedence for Christians to follow also. The very bible displays that Mary has intercessory powers with her son Jesus that she can work for other hapless people who ask her to. Protestants are just so mean spirited and hateful that they do not know what they do.

I hate it when the beads remind me of tourist souvenir…. When we look at them in shops, we should remember the beads are different matter when you have loyal friends bringing them from far-away trips and probably blessed by the priests before giving to you. The most common things are sometimes the most valuable to you or to me. Friendship.prilmage. Symbols of Catholics identify. Lords words in prayers. Dedication. . . That’s my thoughts.
