You have to realize in this time period, no one even thought of putting any sexual connotation into their performances. It’s what made him a true innovator...long live the King!

Elvis came pre programmed from heaven with those moves and that magnetism. And he got the effect, which just made him more endearing.
@beautifulinsideout52584 жыл бұрын
With his graceful moves, all his own without help from choreographer, charisma, magnetism and stage presence no one can compare to Elvis before and after him. He's the only singer who had made such an impact to boys and girls, young and old and black and white, all over the world. And the only one who treated everyone with respect, appreciated, and connected with his fans.

I love your reactions to Elvis! And yes, he had such a good sense of humor, and you can see when he makes his moves, he even smiles and laughs at himself.... he never took himself so seriously, which was part of his charm and charisma... there was almost a child-like innocence about him which made him relatable to the whole world and to people of all ages.

Stuck on You" was Elvis Presley's first hit single after his two-year stint in the US Army, reaching number one in 1960 in the US.

From that same show right before he sang stuck on you he sang Fame and Fortune. I absolutely loved this song. And he seems blown away by the way his fans we’re screaming at him in the audience. Because Elvis had been out of the public eye for two whole years and didn’t know how he was going to be received when he came home.
@genebeamon48984 жыл бұрын
They say that in person is where you can feel the real presense and he was even better looking. Those moves are dangerous!!! They also say he shook so hard for all those years, that that's why he started having some health problems. There were a thousand plus concerts that were never on tv or filmed, no telling the moves and energy he had in those.

How ironic that decades later, Elvis and Frank would be ranked one after another...It was around 1999 ( the turn of the millennium ) from 20th century to 21st century that all the news outlet, social medias of different forum were doing many ' lists ' of ' The greatest 100 ' this and that, of many different topics and subjects on the last century, the 20th....In the entertainment field...Elvis was voted ' #1 Entertainer of the last century ' ..and Ole Blue Eyes Sinatra came in at #2, everyone else follow on that list of 100...So, in a nutshell, out of thousands of great entertainers of the 20th centuries, Elvis beat them all..I definitely agree. Cheers ..

He had that shy little boy smile as a reaction to certain things. I think that was the one thing that helped to hook those ladies interest! I think that this was one of the few times that Elvis wore a tuxedo. In Vegas, later on, most male performers wore tuxedos! Elvis chose to wear the jumpsuits because he said he couldn't move around as much in a tux!(Actually,I thought his movements were just fine in this video!) (btw Early on, he got the advice to wear glittery outfits from Liberace( who else?), who started doing it, so he could be seen better when he was performing at the Hollywood Bowl, which was quite dark! Whatever Elvis wore , he looked fantastically handsome & fans did not care what he wore, as long as he had those moves & that voice! Actually, his serious songs, without much movement in them, were greatly loved too! The bottom line is that you just can't go wrong with Elvis no matter what he wore or when & where he performed! Thanks for such a great reaction!

His charm and charisma just really comes out. This is my favorite song of his. If I had to describe Elvis with one word, it probably would have been "charismatic". He knew the reaction he had on the ladies and he just kind of laughed about it it seems. :-) Also, this is a mild performance. They had stopped showing him from the waist down as he danced so you can tell he was being more "conservative" in this video. LOL

This was The Welcome hime Elvis show. It was taped in Miami in the spring of 1960, when a 25 year old Sergent Elvis Aron Presley returned from his Army service in Germany. The show was hosted by Frank Sinatra...Elvis and Frank even performed a duet. In the Duet, they did one song by the other performer. Frank chose Elvis' ballad Love Me Tender, and Elvis sang Frank's song Witchcraft.

Jamel, lately I've been checking out a lot of Elvis First listens, because there is very little new unheard Elvis material out there...for me anyway. I am so intrigued by people that really don't know the catalogue of Elvis....most people concentrate on the 50's, but his 70's catalogue, to me, is by far and away the best period of Elvis' career. Vocally and technically, the 70's define what Elvis is and what he wanted to sing...after all he did proclaim during the '68 Comeback, that he would never do another song he didn't believe in. So, if you want to know the real Elvis, at least the music HE wanted to do...focus from '68 onward. Anyway, back to your channel, you are by far, the most entertaining, articulate and enthusiastic reviewer I've encountered yet!! Keep up the great work!! Suggestions, It's Over from '73 Aloha, I Can't Stop Loving You from "That's The Way It Is" and personally , my wedding song to my beautiful wife Rachel, "I Just Can't Help Believin'" from "That's the Way It Is" 1970. Thank You!!...and keep on discovering the legendary magic and talents of Elvis Presley!

You got the Elvis moves. Elvis is fun with a serious side. Elvis did what he was told to do in his early days. Pre Army and then movies. He made money. He wanted his family out of poverty and to help others. He did this. Then in 1968, he made a major comeback with his 1968 Comeback televised program, next it was concerts. Sold out concerts. Fans would hear Elvis sing everything from Steamroller Blues to How Great Thou Art. Elvis Legacy, his daughter carries his torch.

This performance was done straight after he came out of the army, where he spent 2 year's, just think what great songs he could have produced in them 2 years, today's singer's would probably cry if they had to join the army

Anybody who thought Elvis lost any of his swag after the Army, wasn't watching. This performance, straight out of the Army, and even with Elvis buttoning it down a little around Sinatra and Co.... Elvis' full powers, moves and swag are all clearly on display here, and as vital as ever. The way he sticks his arm up at the end - pure badass. Elvis was the prototype rock star, had every move in the book, the looks, the brilliant voice and vocal chops, the swag, the sense of humor, presence and charisma for days, and he knew exactly how to use it all to full effects.
