Mr. Larry knows his history and I love it. This is why all this needs to be documented as once he is gone, I doubt anyone else will have this knowledge on Elvis and the Presley history to this extent. He is a sharp mind man to remember where everything sat at and who the neighbors were. His mind is amazing!

Exactly=. It is oral history that disappears with the person but Billy has captured it permanently as it unfolds.

Great video!!! Throughout his life, Elvis had a unique relationship with food. We all know of his famous binges and his odd habit of sometimes eating the same thing for every meal for weeks at a time. We also know he generously fed other people from his family to his friends to his co-workers to complete strangers. We also all know Elvis went hungry many times in his early life and he witnessed his parents go without meals. For a young Elvis, it seems likely he identified his uncle Noah with good food and a tight belt from finally being able to eat his fill. You have to wonder how many times little Elvis had a full belly because his uncle Noah, a good man who would not let a family member go hungry in his sight and owned a grocery store, invited the family to dinner or brought over groceries or sold some cheap foodstuffs to Gladys. For young Elvis, happy times equaled times he got to eat. Elvis learned if you want to show someone you really care about them, you feed them. You have to wonder, when later in life Elvis did indulge in his food binges, were memories of happy times with Noah and the whole Presley clan spurred by his tastebuds to go whirling through his mind? Elvis loved food and Elvis loved cars and we can see, both are closely linked to Noah. We are focused on Elvis, but I also wonder, how many times did Noah feed Vernon when Vernon was a little tyke?

All of the little neighborhood grocery store's have been replaced by the bigger store's that have just about anything you could have on your list. I miss the small personal thing's that everyone in the neighborhood would shop at and charge if they needed to. The good old day's truly were the good old day's and Larry remember's every detail. Elvis didn't have a different life from the rest of us, another thing that made him so endearing. Thank you and Larry for the memorie's they are a treasure for everyone who lived in the 50s and 60s. God bless you, can't wait to hear more from Larry.

I appreciate the thoughts I have plenty of mics and equipment and have added more mics and such to the cameras to get my voice and people I'm am talking to but too much equipment can create technical problems which then cause the interview to loose momentum or content so I don't do things that can cause those issue..

Really enjoyed this entry. Larry's happy to share his memories and his memories are on. It's great to hear from someone who was really there, as well as a family member. But...was he talking about Natalie Wood and Elvis came to their house or Anita Wood and Elvis? You mention Anita and he says Natalie, mentioning her later unfortunate death. That's the only part of this entry that throws me. Other than that - this is amazing that you interview Mr. Larry Presley. Take care.

So many homes that used to be....the town near me had many streets and homes torn down for a glass factory. The factory was built before my time. I never knew a whole section of the town had been taken over for the factory. I’ve been told of the beautiful homes that were there and how sad it was when they were gone. The factory is now closed up along with many other stores, the homes that are left are run down, trashed you name it, crime, drugs and shootings take place there now as it does in so many other cities through out the country. I always enjoy watching your history videos especially when you have someone from the area that lived during that time and can share the memories. 👍🏻

If you look on Google earth you will see a different house at that spot. It's painted green and white, if you look closely at the photo you put in this video of Noah's old house you will see the steps leading up to the front door are the very same steps in the Google earth image, if the man in the photo wearing the white hat is Larry standing on the original steps of his old home then those in Google earth are definitely the same steps, shame that they look to have been removed when the new brick building was built. They could have been saved, still heat to see all these old photos and hear the stories from Larry.Elvis' old home that you've shown in this video is also still shown on Google earth.

Hi I love your videos. Just wanted to say that my grandparents are buried there to. My daddy's parents. Somehow they are kin to Elvis to. I can't figure out.I think it's Gladys sister had kids with my great grandpa. My grandpa's name is Alonzo Mann married to dovie made Mann.i never got to meet them tho. I was born when my mama was 38 and my dad was 41. But I just thought maybe you could figure this problem out for me to go see if I'm on kin to Elvis or not..I think my grandpa brother was named john Mann. So maybe you could check if out please.

Gladys' sister Lillian did marry Charles Mann and had several children. Bobbie, Billy and Wayne are the ones I know of but Think there are more.. Wayne is still alive.. She did remarry a Fortenberry.. I'm not sure if it was a divorce or a death he passed in 1957. Billy Mann is the one people say took the photo of Elvis in the casket that as in the Enquirer..
