In 1969 I was 20 years old and on my first visit to LA from London. The friend I was staying with knew Barbara McNair who came to dinner. She had recently finished filming change of habit with Elvis. While with us she called Elvis and he invited her out to see his Vegas show. 4 of us went with her. The show was audio-recorded and can be found on CD. Elvis introduced Barbara from the stage during the show. After, we were all invited to his dressing room. He looked amazing, a beautiful man in fact. Mama Cass was also present. Elvis was friendly, charming & engaging. We were there for quite some time, not a brief meet & greet. An amazing event in my life!

My aunt and her best friend booked an Elvis shows in Vegas in 1973 but her friend had an a family issue at the last minute and couldn't make it, my aunt asked if i wanna to go instead. I wasn't fan of Elvis at the time so I said no, finally she convinced me to go and became fan after the show was over. In hindsight I feel blessed now to have had the opportunity to see him performing in Vegas. Back in those days the stages were in close proximity to the performer, it felt like the audience and performance connected in a personal level which you don't see today, now you need binoculars to see a performer.

Elvis is in the Building!! Awesome vlog.. don't care much about colonel tom Parker. Liberace and Barbara Streisand and of course Elvis graced the stage and excitement of being in Vegas at the same time.. it was an experience that made Vegas what it is today. Barry Manilow graces on that tradition. Cool going to see where Elvis played and sang to the crowds and Elvis bar! The King is in the building! Barry's pianos and guided backstage tour to the stage.. Wayne Newton played here and Elvis would be covered in various pieces of women's clothing! Tuscany room is pretty elaborate, Elvis's hangouts while in Vegas baby!! Press releases for the enterouge of crews that happened around when Elvis was in town. The suite is very elaborate with a pool and overlooking the city. Pretty much built for comfort of a small group to entertain.. I think I could live there forever.. Mohammed Ali and Elvis giving the bath robe! The Westgate or the International hotel as it was known in Elvis days.. Thank you for taking us there Jordan 🇯🇴

Wow... what a vlog. It brought back so many memories. We stayed at the old Hilton (International) hotel in 1978 a year after Elvis died. The “Elvis floor” was closed and unoccupied when we stayed there. The hotel still had some pictures and posters up and staff at the time, talked about Elvis crashing Tom Jones concert. It was really interesting seeing the back stage, the penthouse room and the hallway to the stage. Elvis had not been dead a year when we went to Las Vegas and staff wasn’t sure what was going to be put in place in Elvis Memory.

Just amazing Jordan. I worked as a Real Estate agent at the Las Vegas Country Club during my time living in Las Vegas. You looked at it out the window in your vlog. It's to the rear of the Westgate and to the left as well. It was the Hilton still and changed hands while I lived there to the Westgate. My only claim to fame in that Hotel was one December when I was leaving the Sands Convention Center. I parked in the Hilton parking garage and so had to walk through the halls of the Westgate/Hilton to get to the garage. A long walk! I came to where the halls convened and there was a small crowd and I was looking as walking at the 15 or so people there and bumped right into a woman who also was looking at the crowd. She was speaking and I knew that voice in an instant. I looked and I said "Oh excuse me!" it was Dolly Parton. She was heading to the elevator with her entourage. Whodah thought?! In your vid you didn't mention and couldn't mention everyone who entertained there. But Connie Stevens was a big one in the 70's as well. Thanks again. BTW are these a "Jah Production"? J

Does this bring back wonderful memories. Every time Elvis played at the Hilton (Or the International), I was there. My girlfriend and I would make reservations. take Friday off work and drive to Vegas. We'd go to the midnite show on Friday, then on Saturday we would go to both shows. As soon as the dinner show was over we would go and get back in line for the midnight show, hoping for good seats. Seating depended on how much you would tip the Maitre Di and how he liked you or what kind of mood he was in. You DID NOT want to upset him...When Elvis came on stage the showroom exploded with us all screaming, When he sang Love Me Tender we knew he was going to hand out the scarves and kiss some of the girls. He had the most beautiful smile and eyes. And he had a lot of fun on stage...I still miss him so...

I snuck in the theater once when the cleaning guy wasn't watching. The vibes were still there. It was incredible standing there just looking at that stage.

So cool the access you got! I hope the elevator, hallway, stage, dressing room never change.
