@dix515

@@timcarr6401 I think that Elvis was a lyrical baritone or high baritone, it's the same thing. He had a very versatile register as he masterfully reached the sharp and powerful notes of the tenor. That was because, he sang a lot of genres, and I think gospel and r&b was his big influence. He had a gift from God. And, his way of feeling the music, of interpreting it, was something unique and very special. Nowadays, the young reactionaries listen to it and they like it; They fall in love with her voice and her way of singing.

Incomparable, the most versatile performer in history. The new movie coming out is the FIRST genuine attempt to explain Elvis, getting rid of all the hype, ridicule, sensationalism and pure bs. Elvis opened the doors for everyone, and that is hard to take for a lot of people. He hated the nickname «The King», he was humble to the core (despite the image he projected), generous to a fault, and never hurt a soul. Except himself. He was an original, not too many people you can say that about. Go and see the new movie, you will not regret it.

I really enjoyed your reaction! To answer your questions, I don't think anyone really knows whether it was sweat or tears with Elvis. When listening to a rehearsal I heard him say "I get carried away very easily. I'm an emotional s.o.b.". So who knows? I don't think younger generations realize that Elvis recorded over 700 songs in all different genres and what a truly amazing voice he had. Once they start exploring, they're blown away by his vocals and stage presence and discover that most of his songs are still relevant to this day.

What an honor to have these special items in my possession and to display them in my living room my younger siblings and cousins can laugh all they want but Elvis Presley can't be matched with any music business artist today and is still The King Of The Music Industry due to being in almost every music Hall Of Fame there is and still 45 years later out of any none living music artist in the music industry out sells them all when it comes to music there is still an audience for Elvis Presley in 2022 and there always has been even before the Elvis movie and there always will be the music industry and the world never recovered from August 16th 1977

He’s awesome isn’t he? He’s so under appreciated and unrated as a singer. I think it’s because he probably did the movies which were actually really good if u really watch him. There are some gem performances in them and great songs in there. Elvis did some song arrangements that were not heard of in that time so maybe that’s why some of the reason the music was not accepted. But you want to know the main reason? Elvis did not do Hollywood he was his own person see he broke that racial barrier so he was always not fully respected because of that. Imagine back then the US was fighting for civil rights, segregation was still in force then this guy is just thinks he can change all this. Who does he think he is? Plus he came from nothing he was considered poor from the South. Elvis had a lot to overcome and he proved everyone wrong. Here we r 45 years later with this spectacular artist still celebrating how wonderful he is and gorgeous. There will never be another Elvis and everyone was after.

It's great to hear you recognize that Elvis was a superior singer with an awesome voice. That's what I've loved about him for more than 60 years. However, the bling and a few silly songs were easier to imitate, so that's what the 'tribute artists' do. It has only been in recent years that I've ever seen any complimentary commentary concerning his vocal ability. When he started out, he was viciously criticized and ridiculed because of the way he moved around, with no critical recognition at all of his singing ability (except by those who kept buying his music).

I as an Elvis fan for many years,since I was a child ,have often wondered and askes myself that question : why are they only playing for example ” in the ghetto ”, ”suspicoius minds ”, ” always on my mind”, on the radio all of the time ? I can’t begin to tell you ,how many times I have walked around in my kitchen when the radio is on ,and actually had conversations with myself about that .😂speaking to myself ,that’s right. And even called the radio station and askes them . And they don’t know... Even on programs where you get to call in and make a wish ,for a song, I usually pick a song that’s not played so often ( or never ) and commonly known ,because I want people to get to know it ,Elvis ambassadeur that I am .❤️But their reply is ,wait for this : they don’t have it ! Or they haven’t heard about it . But I have it on my vinyls here at home ..

Great reaction. I just watched the new movie - MAGIC! I´ve been a fan for more than 40 years and have watched numerous movies etc about Elvis. This is, by far, the absolute best version I´ve ever seen. I love Austin Butler as Elvis. They did an amazing job with this movie. Oscar worthy? Hell Yes! 🙂

There is a lot more to Elvis than Hound Dog. Listen to the songs he recorded in the 70’s. A lot of deep meaningful song where he pushed his vocals. He never sang in safe mode like a lot of singers do. He gave it his best every single night

You should indeed learn more about Elvis Presley, you will find out how great he was and not only because of his music and movies but also as human and this because of his generosity and being humble. it is amazing what he gave away for the good cause. His dad asked him once why he gave so much away to people he didn't know because his dad was worrying about Elvis bank account. Elvis replied "Listen dad, I just love to see people happy, I love their smile on their faces when they are happy. If I make a record or I give a concert I have millions of dollars on my bank account just like that, so I don't worry about the money and if somebody ask me to make him or her happy or help with giving money who am I to refuse that" If Elvis was alive and you would meet him he would say to you "Sir" or"Ms" and then he said "please just call me Elvis" an example of how humble he was. Now the movie ELVIS is not a good source to know more about Elvis. Ok Austin Butler and Tom Hanks did a very good acting job, but the story line in the movie is not true, I even dare to say lies. And then they say that Baz Luhrman studied about Elvis Presley for 7 years, excuse me but for me a big laugh. If that's true then show in the movie the truth and that was not the case. For ex in the movie is shown that Elvis did an open air performance in a football stadium and there is said in the movie Russwood park 1958. Elvis did indeed a performance in Russwood park not in 1958 but in 1956 to be exact June 5 1956. Elvis was never dragged away by police for security. Elvis is never forced to go in the army or else to jail, it was the voluntary choice of Elvis to join because he was a patriot. The Col even tried in every way to prevent Elvis joining the army because he was scared. Elvis was nl in Europe and could be asked to perform there and that was a scary problem for the Colonel because he was illegal in USA. A better source to know more about Elvis Presley is a book written by Marc Hendrickx called "Elvis mens muziek mythe" in English translated as "Elvis human, music and myth"

So, where did Elvis get the emotion, the intesity, and the connection to this song from? The Aloha from Hawaii concert was filmed in January 1973. Elvis and Priscilla filed for divorce in August 1972...just five months prior. According to Joe Moscheo of the Imperials, the failure of Elvis's marriage "was a blow from which he never recovered". I believe Elvis was letting all of that pain burst out of him on stage. And from that, we have this masterpiece performance.

Just found your channel enjoying your reactions, love seeing young people listening to him and seeing him not that cartoon person they made him out to be later which made me sad I have been a fan for 60 years. He had over 600 plus songs. You have not gotten to his gospel songs which he won awards for them. He sang from this heart and soul. Even if you are not into gospel music you will hear how beautiful his voice is. I don't know who Matt is but he is giving you some good songs. Go to his "68 Comeback Special. Yes go see movie I think you will enjoy it.

Tears. Another thing so amazing about him. As a man he wasn't afraid or embarrassed to cry in front of anyone. He's cried on a few songs. American Trilogy 1973 is one.

I truly enjoy both your reactions, just the expression on your faces capture the raw emotions Elvis brings out while performing and yes his vocals are truly off the charts. Try to listen to an off the beat track he did back in 1970 called Tomorrow Never Comes. I’m sure you will appreciate his range in that as well. Nice couple you guys and welcome aboard the Elvis Train, enjoy the ride. Peace. Sal
