This is a clip from his movie 'Girls, Girls, Girls' from 1962. He was performing in a club in the movie. They didn't make actual videos in those days. They filmed live performances, or they did this... show the performance in the movie clip. No place to watch videos in those days. Not until MTV in 1981. And Elvis is doing 'The Twist' a popular dance from those days. And a special video & song is 'If I can dream' which he did after Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. The lyrics & message is powerful & he shows off his range. Great performance.

I was 10 in 77 When Elvis passed away :( but Girls Girls Girls was and still is my FAVORITE Elvis Movie!!!! I would be right at the tv on the floor mesmerized LOLLL I have all his movies / albums / records the Lp's / Records are from My Dad passing away last year..... It's been a very very heartbreaking year but when I listen to Elvis its so healing for me and makes me so happy!!!!! I really love Blue Hawaii with that "Brat" Girl LOL Where Elvis spanks her LOL ..... Viva Las Vegas King Creole I just started buying more Elvis Movies! & looking for some Elvis art! Yes I remember too and I remember My Dad was crying never saw my Dad cry!!! EVER!!! He was a HUGE Elvis Fan I just lost him last year to Covid Age 73... Still SO HARD!!!! He had all of Elvis's LP's Records Dad Had a Fender Stratocaster & Sang & Played Elvis Songs! Along with Country Legends!! Dad had those sideburns for years!!!! hehehehe I remember going to school saying "My Dad sings like Elvis" LOLLL Yes We are the last!!!! There were no music videos back then. The Colonel was about $$$, and there were sound tracks with an album release from most of his movies. There are also several movie scenes like this that you can view on KZbin. The dance was the Twist which was huge from 1960-1964. Every teen and adult learned how to dance the twist and lots of popular songs, such as Peppemint Twist, Let’s Twist Again Like We Did Last Summer. The ChaCha was also a very popular dance, which songs were written for.

Actually back then the stadium’s weren’t that big I think his biggest concert was the Pontiac Silverdome and that was 62,000 fans in 76 and boy was he nervous. Then in typical Elvis fashion he danced around so much with the moves he split his suit again lol so he had to go change he was not a happy camper. Supposedly that is why he wore those jumpsuits so he wouldn’t split his pants because of his moves but nooooo nothing was Elvis proof 🤣. Poor Elvis but the fans totally understood and cheered him on cuz we all know.
