My favorite thing about Elvis is his winning smile. I love to watch him skate, but I really look forward to that big, boyish grin when he finishes his programs.

Oh that smile!!!! ❤❤❤ A legend paying tribute to another legend, beautiful! I remember having tears while watching this program over 20 years ago, and I still remember it. 🥋⛸️🙌🏼

This left tears in my eyes. I must say, this was one of the BEST men's Figure Skating Olympics competitions that took place. So many legends and greats. Elvis Stojko, Todd Eldrege, Alexei Yagudin, Evgeni Plushenko, Takeshi Honda, etc.

Honda? No... I agree he had ability to achieve more than he did, but not up to the class for legend.

Elvis Stojko is Canadian legend in figure skating , when say good bye to the sport he love it was priceless.
He's the Fred Astaire of Men's Ice Figure Skating. Elvis was both an figure skater and a very masculine man. Forget everybody else.

Its crazy how he kindof peaked there. Back in 1998 quads were rare and risky, meanwhile 4 years later even the olderskaters in their late twenties (and 30 fo eldredge) tried and landed them.

He's missed for sure!!! Elvis has something so special about him when he skates, this routine was always one of my favorites so beautifully done and fit him so well. There's no doubt why to this day he's still so well respected in the skating community.

It was a great way to end his career by landing 2 quadruple jumps in the program! Legend!

Do you copy/paste this comment to every video of competitions he didn't win?

After losing the gold because of a groin injury in 98, this was so great to see him end with a smile on his own terms. This was always one of my favorite programs. Good for him.

I think he should have won in 1994. Like Scott. I watched it live.

@@50781975 Interesting thought experiment. If they had kept the Olympics in 1996 instead of moving them up, does anyone beat him? Maybe Eldridge if everything goes well for him?

At this point, the jumping was just too dominant in the programs for me. To me, there should be no reason to perform a 3-jump combination. The performance in '94 was definitely stronger, although I was an Urmanov fan, haha!
@michaeljj439 жыл бұрын
smoothALOE urmanov was a beautiful skater...look at his jumps in the air...perfect...i just thought elvis' program was so difficult...and i think he really nailed the choreography with his music.
@Warren_Flatt7 жыл бұрын
smoothALOE he had to throw in that three jump combo on the second quad or else he would have been penalty for repeating a jump
