This year i’m getting better and better as the weeks go by but i still have some bad days.. Which is ok! I’ve always felt like I’m in a battle against my own mind and I’ve been lucky enough to have just enough extra mental energy to surround myself with the right people to help me win those fights against myself. I am so proud of you, and I believe in you. Take everything one single day at a time. I’m 30 and I look back on my 15 year old self with so much compassion and love because she got me to 30. Aprons. Back in the day "hot pads" didn't exist. For that matter, the "tea towel" is a relatively new kitchen innovation. "Towels" were generally old, worn, sheets or blankets, sometimes curtains or old clothing, that were past their use. (If they couldnt be otherwise repurposed as the inside of another blanket or such). So they used their aprons. Aprons also worked to keep clothing clean. As you likely only had two or three sets (if you were lucky). Modern use, i use an apron when im canning. Its not tight like that one was. Its loose and flowy, so i can use it to grab things and to wipe my hands. It also protects my legs from harm, as im generally in shorts. Ooh, also good for carrying stuff. If i dont have a basket handy, i use it for gathering garden goods.

Seasoned low carb cracker maker here. 3/4 cup almond flour and 1 c shredded cheese, mix together and microwave for 1 minute, stir and if not completely melted go 30 more seconds. Spread dough on parchment paper score into crackers and bake at 400 degrees start to watch them at 10 minutes and remove when they begin to get some browning . You might need to remove edge pieces and continue to cook the middle. This dough can also be cooked in the microwave. Crackers stored in refrigerator/ freezer and can be warmed/ crisped up in microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute. If you are an everything bagel fan sprinkle on dough and press in before scoring.

Apron is for protecting your regular clothes from wear and tear. If one only cooks casually or once in a while its not really a big deal. But if you spend hours a day in the kitchen, apron takes the brunt of the mess. I also lean on the counter quite often when washing the dishes and an apron prevents my shirts from all getting holes around the belly area like when I was a teenager and didn't know better. 😅

Trying to get rid of a spider and scaring yourself is so me that I smiled. Thanks for this fun adventure, Elyse! The crackers seemed good, third time's the charm!

8:18 I feel you girl! I'm right there with you! I'm actually going to the doctor this morning because my sinuses are awful. I'm pretty sure all my allergies and junk have caused a sinus infection over time.

This is such a funny video 😂 the rolling pin hitting your face and you breaking your ruler sent me.

I'm so glad they turned out in the end! For future reference, never ever use a ChatGPT recipe. AI is terrible at making recipes and will make borderline inedible food a significant amount of the time. And if you want to keep the parchment paper from sliding around, sometimes wetting the table underneath it helps (like just wet a towel and swipe it a few times over the surface of the table), or you can stick small amounts of excess dough on the four corners!

Making Cheez-its sounds really fun! My grandma taught me that the big spoons are tablespoons and the little ones are teaspoons so you can substitute them if you don't have measuring cups. Idk if that's actually true, but it's worked for me so far.

8:08 I think we’re describing the cotton? Omaha is a beast for sure! Try some Lastacaft or Optase Allegro eye drops. They’ve been really helpful for some of my patients.

I enjoy your video's so much. Some stand outs: Flying pollen or as we call in in the PNW cottonwood. I hate it and I cry ALL. THE. TIME. But mostly only in my left eye for some reason. The Bees. I liked all the info you shared about the bees. I really enjoyed when you bonked the wall, then yourself with the rolling pin (so something I would do.....so relatable). 1/2 killing a spider...also relatable. My cheeks hurt from Smiling. So thank you for that.
