Thank you for your ideas. I now know what I am going to do with my mother's wedding dress! It was created in 1941 and is beyond saving. I already have a bunch of old hoops, some belonged to my mom. Now, I'll be able to keep a piece of the dress for memories. Maybe I'll send a piece to her granddaughters and great granddaughter as well. Such a nice idea.

I can't believe I had your vision of using the hoop. I found a really interesting piece of fabric and a hoop at my community thrift store. I knew I could do something, so I placed the fabric inside the hoop and have a really great wall hanging.

Beautiful!I used to make these but hot glued them into hoops. Also made these using kitchen towels, cut in half to fit hoop,2 for the price of one. These were very popular in the 90's when I was selling them.Thank you so much.

This is so helpful. I have some distressed jeans that I can't wear to work because the holes are too large. I've been thinking about adding lace to the inside of the jeans to cover the holes. I looked for fabric at the big box stores and I'm too cheap to spend that much. I never thought of getting lace from the thrift store. What a great idea! I've been here since the beginning, and I have to say you are so grounded and down to Earth. Your ideas are a breath of fresh air in the oversaturated DIY community. I'm so proud of your success

If you dip the lace in pva glue before you put in the hoop it will not only glue the lace to the hoop but once glue dries you can use your Silloette cameo to do lettering or picture on the lace. Love that you inspire people with your ideas and upcycling. Love my brushes bty 😁

I love those, so classy. I think it’s so important to “stage” your item for sale so that it appeals to the buyers eye immediately. You always do this and it looks amazing. I have often bought something that wasn’t staged in a pretty way and flipped it without doing anything to it except to stage it nicely.

That is really beautiful. Another idea is to get some old frames or new ones that you age. We also have a frame that has two panes of glass that has an old postcard in between the panes. It looks pretty neat and clever, and the frame has been nicely aged. The postcard looks like it is floating in air.

Just started watching and am really enjoying your videos. I haven't done anything with lace but did frame my grandmother's old embroidered pillowcases. Found frames at thrift stores & cut down the pillowcases so only the portions with embroidery showed. Didn't sell them but gave one to each of her female descendants as a keepsake (no one wanted the pillowcases but loved the pictures!).

Lots of good tips!! Those hoops could also be layered with fabric beneath that would complement the colors of a room or give a cute contrast. Very good idea. If I did not have family pictures everywhere on my walls, they would be an option. You are a TRUE recycler, Girl, and I love your videos so much. I was told my mom and dad use to be dump pickers and I have done my share back in the day. I will never forget when I hauled a craftsman style rocker with a padded horsehair seat from a guy who was just getting ready to toss it in a burn pile! In that city, you could not scrap anything from the ground (yeah, right), but if you rescued it from the person's truck, it was yours. My best ever find!
